Last summer in Portland Maine, some of the teachers at the Mark O'Connor String Camp went to hear Bernie speak. As one teacher put it, we got what we expected: we saw "an old man shout reasonable things from far away." Not the politics I'm used to, for sure.

Later that night, we went out to dinner at a local restaurant, and by sheer coincidence, there was Bernie Sanders! He and his campaign staff were eating at the table next to us.

I wrote this jingle on the spot, and started singing it. Surrounded by music teachers, it didn't take long before the entire restaurant was singing along! We hit the studio three days later and recorded the version you hear here. (Hear, hear!)
