Our latest mix comes from local producer and DJ priya. They are quickly becoming a fixture at local parties and with a number of brilliant releases, including one on Love Above's lockdown compilation last year, expect this star to continue rising. Their melt mix features a nice variety of percussive and melodic house, UKG and breakbeat. Enjoy!

A fortunate friendship between Crab claw and @foolishzine brought about an extendo expedition into unexplored space - one doorway leading to another doorway which leading to another doorway which lead to a brand new dancefloor bristling with brand new energy from afternoon to eve. As night fell @tookietookietookie led us on a high energy closing set rampage, all recorded straight to (digital) tape for our re-enjoyment.

Joined by a celebratory Jxnior on the mic filling the hype-person role and holding absolutely nothing back, Tookie runs the block's final hour with clinical ease, bouncing from breaks to bass and trance to techno like he was born to play bangers. Poise and panache meet at their peak time muster point - a musical match made in heaven.

The party's over but the good times are not - Tookie's still going off for this Shell Tape.

For our 57th recording we peer into the inner mind of Crab Claw, both literally and figuratively. Welcome to "After the After Party," a recurring mix series assembled and curated by @mattferret and @kailyn-crabbe and served with a side of smoke, gin and soda.

With a focus on the hazy meeting point of wonky, deep, hypnotic and psychedelic sounds "After the Afterparty" is a tasteful take on the sounds of the early hours; maintaining functional dance floor energy while leaning towards meditative outsider sounds that get you both moving and (hopefully) contemplating. Tape 57 covers sounds forthcoming, new and old, incorporating a loving focus on Australian tracks and environments. 

Mixed slowly, leaving space for the tracks to breathe and pulsate, "After the After Party" meanders through a wiggly nether-world - designed to appeal to psychonauts and dancers alike. Enjoy!
