ABOUT Yulia Kasa:

With an unwavering passion for deep, dark, groovy house and melodic techno, and newly branching out into fast, hypnotic techno with acid basslines, Yulia Kasa continues to push the boundaries of her signature sound and style. Based in Melbourne, Kasa has played solo for KISS FM Aus, 150 BPM events, Lucky Coq, My Aeon, TechnoTime, TechNeck radio, In Progress Amsterdam radio with Zoldex and more. Kasa was also a founding member of duo Femme Fatale in 2023 where she played at well-known venues Revolver, New Guernica and Brown Alley.

Kasa's sole focus now is on her solo journey, as well as meeting like-minded people within the underground techno community and discovering new artists at events. Kasa looks for inspiration everywhere, and her dedication and enthusiasm can be felt on dance floors. Kasa's sets are currently influenced by the likes of Drumcode, Dark face recordings, Klockworks, Tr!p recordings, HATE and Anjunadeep. She is inspired by artists such as Bloody Mary, MARRON, CHLAR, Ben Klock, Surgeon, Richie Hawtin, Troy Pierce, Wata Igarashi, Perc and many more. Currently in her element with a clear vision ahead, there are lots of exciting things to come from Yulia Kasa.

Hello Midnighters,

It's Sebastiaan Hooft here, welcoming you to another pulsating episode of The Midnight Project. As always, we're diving into a unique blend of techno tracks, perfect for your workouts, drives, or those moments of reflection. This week, we've got a lineup that's particularly close to my heart, featuring incredible talents and mind-bending tunes.

First, discuss André Pillar's "Acid Language (Original Mix)." André's knack for integrating classic acid-house elements with modern techno is brilliant. His ability to create a soundscape that's both nostalgic and forward-thinking is what makes this track a perfect opener for our journey.

Then, "Eternum" by Slim Black is coming out on Redesign Records this month. Slim's approach to techno is deeply rooted in minimalism, yet an intensity in his tracks is hard to ignore. With its haunting melodies and relentless rhythm, "Eternum" is a testament to his skill in creating a powerful narrative through music.

A special mention goes to the "Raving Adventure (Sebastiaan Hooft Remix)" by Horatio and Pagano. Remixing this track was a journey in itself. Horatio and Pagano's original work provided a fantastic canvas, and I aimed to add my own twist while respecting the essence of their creation. It's always exhilarating to work on remixes, and I hope this one resonates with you as much as it does with me.

Lastly, let's not forget "Neutral (Original Mix)" - a piece from yours truly. Crafting this track was a reflective process, delving into techno's deeper, more introspective side. It represents balance and calm amidst our often chaotic lives.

Rob is a talented DJ based by the South Coast of the UK. His mixes are a blend of Nu-Disco and Deep House through to Tech and Techno. Playing at many venues in the City of Brighton and in addition to this Rob has played in London plus internationally in Belgium and Greece. Rob is a regular on the radio airwaves, heavily involved with Trickstar  Radio in Brighton he airs to the world via the web and on DAB along the south coast. He co-hosts the Elements of Groove Radio show every Friday night from 8pm and also has his own show playing Electro-Swing on Sundays from 12 noon which come to an end of November 2018 as he sets for new adventures. In the past he was also a key partner in the globally syndicated radio show Global Dance Session, also featuring on the show in over 30 countries on FM. Since around July 2019 til present i have joined UK, Brighton based CodeSouth Radio.
