This isn't a composition that Django recorded, though he could have, as it was written in 1939. Alas, we'll never know what his amazing interpretation could have been. It seems like a song he would have loved! As for me, this is an old chestnut that I've always kept together- mostly because, hey, it lays so nicely on guitar with drop 2 voicings :)

I kinda went nuts with the ol' looper pedal... got some monster strat sounds though! Also a really nice demo of the Katana MKII 100 watt amp- just an SM57 slung over it- MONSTER SOUNDS.

Abstract sort of "Mahavishu Orchestra" loop test

Another looper experiment, for an album I'm working on that will be 100% "live" loop based music. I play the bass via an octave pedal effect. The drums come from my phone, a drum app I'm tapping with my fingers (connected to an A/B splitter). So this performance is, again, 100% live: no overdubs of edits of any sort. I don't think this take is QUITE good enough, but nice enough to post here!

Shelter In Place

Rob has been a musician from the time his parent took him to piano lessons at age 4. From there, he fell in love with the guitar, and has been a jazz guitarist since 1999. He currently plays acoustic jazz music, but has worked in rock, fusion, and chiptune idioms.
