Dreamers in dreamland is the new single from Rob Meany and Terramara. It’s a song about walking the beaches in Los Angeles, and feeling an endless sense of possibility and timelessness.  Enjoy!

This song is an example of the great collaboration between singer-songwriter Rob Meany and the band Terramara, with ace production by Andy Thompson (Dessa, Jeremy Messersmith).  It captures in a few short minutes the sense of timelessness and endless possibility that a young artist might feel when first moving to LA to pursue their dreams.  A very descriptive and colorful narrative takes the listener through a day walking the beaches between Santa Monica and Venice Beach.  The sound is at once energetic and contemplative.  An atmospheric and cinematic production that highlights the dreamlike quality of living in LA.

The Rob Meany & Terramara track “Brooklyn Bridge” was recorded around the time of the Dust & Fiction album sessions.  A few years ago we shared a mix of it to our website, but it was never officially released.   We have now remastered the track and are releasing it as a single for high-quality download and it is streaming across all platforms.  

The song tells the classic tale of a young woman who seeks fame and fortune in New York City and unfortunately has her dreams dashed.  She and the narrator, however, both find solace spending time at the Brooklyn Bridge.  With the band we were able to move in a groovy direction with rhythm section and create something both melodic and funky, while keeping things chill for the storytelling.  Recorded with few overdubs in the studio.

Blue Revolution

Featured on the soundtrack of the popular TV show, Supernatural, this song replaced "Fire of Unknown Origin" by Blue Oyster Cult when the program went into digital distribution.  Watch the opening scene of Supernatural Season 1, Episode 17 "Hell House" to hear it prominently featured, complete with the actor singing and drumming on the steering wheel.

Rob Meany is a singer-songwriter and leader of the Minneapolis pop-rock group, Terramara.  The band has been active for over fifteen years and releasing three full-length albums of original music.  

Rob released his first solo album, Ferris Wheels Unbound, in 2016.  The solo record, produced by Rob Meany and Andy Thompson, departs from the rock quartet-oriented production of past albums, instead presenting a collection of more intimate performances, storytelling, and stark arrangements, enhanced occasionally by string quartet, and jazz trio.
