Bassiks are a techno Dj/Producer duo from Greece that came
together in 2017, with both members being involved with
music from an early age.
Their sound is defined by driving grooves, heavy basslines and
raw aesthetics.
Based in Amsterdam, they were former residents at Club NL with East Collective and performed at the historic Club Paradiso with
Remy Unger & Joey Beltram.
They have made several appearances in clubs and venues in
Greece, The Netherlands, Germany, Austria and India having
headline events and also sharing the booth with respected Djs
from the local and international music scene like Sam Paganini,
The Yellowheads, TKNO, Axel Karakasis, Dextro, ROD, Aether among others.
They have also played in the Amsterdam
Dance Event and Geheime Liefde festival, performing among branded names.
They have several guest appearances in podcast
series and radio stations worldwide, including live
performances at AMW radio station in Amsterdam.
Their music has been released in labels like Boiler
Underground, Gain+, Syncopate, Pure Dope Digital and
Addeepted records that entered beatport charts, reached N.1
place with their Rushing In EP on top 100 (R/D/H) techno
releases and got supported by artists like Jay Lumen, Gaston
Zani, Dok&Martin, Luis Miranda, by Dj Rush during his set at
Awakenings on ADE and by Lilly Palmer on BBC Radio 1.
They also had their first vinyl release last year by
Rawsery records.
Feeling the need to share music and connect through it with
people, they are running and hosting Frequencies, a techno
music event in which they are performing near guest Dj's
aiming in the growth of the underground culture and local
scene.

DJ Michel Remelink (a.k.a. Michel Abstract), started his career in 1993 at the Spanish club Pacha and with his weekly radio show at System FM, where famous names like 100% Isis, Marcello and Cellie came to perform on the air.

In the years that followed many performances at Club Time, Catacomb Studios, Waakbaarheid and the Looseclub. There he played together with Jerome, Steve Rachmad, Cellie, Shinedoe, Estroe, Carlijn, Erick E, Marcello, Isis, Per, Surgeon, Jay Denham, Space DJ'z, Thomas Krome and Rino Cerrone.

In 1999 Michel started the foundation and Techno organization Abstract with friends. The collective organized both large parties and underground parties in the Lichtfabriek and started with a weekly club/techno evening Solid and in 2002 Format.

In 2006, Michel and DJ Ken organized the monthly party Testlab, where both national and international DJs came to play.

In addition to his favorite preference for Techno, Michel plays Clubhouse, Techhouse, Minimal and House Classics just as easily.

Along its evolution is the award of the official ADE yellow cube, making The Bassment a relevant pin in today’s #Mokum map of underground venues.Mind Your step, curator and owner of this cozy but vibrant space, is a long time Techno lover and, as such, he’s a supporter of the earlier Techno sound; but his fascination with all things electronic has kept him very much up with current times. His personal setup is made to live edit tracks as he plays, creating brand new music from existing one, for a whole new listening and dancing experience. Sound wise, he likes it pretty mental, marbled by pounding 4/4 beats to balance an otherwise very hypnotic sound, pushing both mind and body to dance.
