TSTD Neo continues to bring the top producers of today’s modern Sunset Disco / Daytime Disco sound to you.

This time a sundrenched, funky collaboration of two acts straight outta Germany.

LES LOUPS:
Hamburg based Les Loups' music is a melting pot of modern dance and electronic music as well as organic and raw elements from dusty disco to glowing pop. Toni, Felix and Phil’s popularity grew big with their summer hit ‘Colourblind’ in 2014. It premiered on Majestic Casual, where it belonged. The follow-up single „Stay“ with danish soul talent Marie Dahlstøm received the Scandinavian Soul Award for „Best Single 2015“. More releases followed. Late 2020 saw the release of Les Loups’ Single “Enough” featuring Berlin-based singer YOSIE. With support from Majestic Casual, TheSoundYouNeed, Electro Posé and Satin Jackets’ acclaimed “Nu Disco” playlist, the group decided to bring Dutch-producer Feiertag and Hamburg-based David Bay (by the band Pool) on board for special remix versions. The boys and DJ Supermarkt / Too Slow To Disco go way back, the trio were one of the earliest guests in the TSTD Monarch parties.

DAVID BAY:
David Bay is better known as a member of the German pop band POOL. The Hamburg based mid-twenties diy-disco-producer is now working on his solo career. With his band Pool, he already opened for bands like the 1975, played whole Europe and the US and released on labels like Kitsuné and Diynamic. David started his solo project with remixes for the likes for Kytes, Rikas, The Phenomenal Handclap Band and Verboten Berlin. The first original tracks are set to come this summer.

About MAX LEAKE
Ah, those shades… Max Leake was another of those early starters, kicking off his musical journey on piano at the age of 6, graduating into the jazz world of the 1970s – a musical training that would open many doors later. By the age of 18, Max was travelling around the country with doo-wop and vocal jazz acts such as the “Ink Spots” and “The Marcels”.
Fast forward to 1984 and his self-produced “Buns in the Sun” comes out on Visionary Records as a private press. It may not have been a stellar commercial success, but it gained widespread airplay nationally in the USA and some positive reviews. More importantly it was a debut full of catchy, hot-strutting jazz tinged tunes, not afraid to pitch bend when the moment called for it. Since then Max has been recording, composing, arranging and performing with some of the biggest names in jazz. And hey, he won “Best Jazz Keyboardist” in the “In Pittsburgh” music awards in 1989, 1991 and in 1995. These days Max is an adjunct professor at the Mary Pappert School of Music at Duquesne University. He’s also the musical director for the actress, producer, and vocalist Tamara Tunie.

The Berlin curator releases a killer 4th edition of the original compilation art form, “Too Slow to Disco”, featuring forgotten and overseen gems from the mid 70s to the early 80s from a global world of smooth, brilliant lost and overproduced tracks from Finland via London and L.A. to Trinidad and beyond.
The great ‘un-vanisher’ of lost lazy classics, DJ Supermarkt once again unearthed some incredible music that labels, publishers (in many cases also those, who actually own the rights to those tracks…) and streaming services have often long overlooked. You’re welcome, world!

DJ Supermarkt came across this rare private press 7 Inch a long time ago, and since tried to locate the band to include the track on his Too Slow To Disco compilation series. After years he found bandleader Jeff Wollman, who gave TSTD permission to finally rerelease this funky space beauty for the first time on the new compilation TSTD 4.
The story could have ended here, but Jeff and DJ Supermarkt went one step further, and came up with the plan to give the track to a few selected producers for new versions/reworks. We contacted our favorite smooth space approved producers of today, and they all said “Yes” and we are super proud to now give you: The Reworks!

Prime Time Band have spent an unlikely 38 years in the business as we write, throwing down a smooth, funky-yet-jazzy set for discerning listeners in the USA, Japan and beyond. “Fall in love in outer space”, their 1986 almost-hit, hits that sweet spot between 80s funk-pop and the disco era’s love of anything galaxy-tinged. Guy Maxwell (bass), Larry Vann (drums), Jeff Wollman (keys), Kenn Peterson (guitar) and Tom Marken (vocals) gifted us a rather delicious spacey groover that feels as ready for the dance floor as it does the closing credits of a capable rom-com.

This approx 2.5 Hour compilation album are the music tracks from  my "Eighties Remixed and Reimagined" (3 SEPT 2025) WOMR/WFMR FM Radio show (without the radio announcements). This 'future classic' set includes contemporary remixes of 80's songs and artists, blended with current songs and mixes by artists and DJs influenced by the Eighties, as well as other retro decades that vibe 80s. 

The overall vibe of Eighties Remixed and Reimagined is "future-Eighties", where it feels 80s-nostalgic but sounds like the future.
