When I came to London last year to join fabric and head the A&R for the artist led label Houndstooth I got dragged down to Hackney Wick for what was going to be a life changing techno event of the rawest level. This happening is what has inspired my series of Warehouse Sessions, where I have reached out to my favourite techno artists and asked them to get inspired by that unique thump thump betwixt concrete sounds that industrialised techno spaces always provoke and provide a suitably banging mix for my Electronic Explorations podcast series.
This week I've kicked off another round of mixes lead by Our Circula Sound man Sigha, London resident Ø [Phase], Semantica Records boss and Spanish producer Svreca, Italian producer and co-owner of Repitch Records Shapednoise (One half of Violetshaped) and finally a US producer who has released on Sandwell District & Stroboscopic Artefacts, Rrose.
December 2012 brought mixes by USA producer Skirt, UK producer Truss aka MPIA3, Stormfield & myself, Irish and Greek producers AnD and French producer Kangding Ray (his being voted EE mix from all shows in 2012)

Interference is the first joint release from PAN and Visionist's Lost Codes, which is re-baptized here as PAN sublabel Codes. Two of Visionist's key discoveries, Mancunian hybridist Acre and Cambridge's transplant Filter Dread both cut their teeth on UK soundsystem culture and have appeared on vital outlets like Tectonic and Ramp. The pair's EP updates 8-bit grime, warehouse rave, and dark bass with hyper-modern sound design and bastard club rhythms. Rather than rely on mimicry, they contort familiar aesthetics, giving rise to the baroque, processional gloom of "Drumz 34" to "Flash Speed"'s bassbin elasticity and the modem drones of "Trashed" (for the steppers).

BNJMN burst onto the scene few years ago with a strange and beguiling sound that married mechanical grooves to leftfield melodies and took inspiration from the likes of Brian Eno and Aphex Twin. After serving up well received LPs and EPs on taste making labels such as Rush Hour and young imprints like Stolen Kisses, BNJMN has now turned the heads of bosses at Delsin, Ninja Tune sublabel Technicolour and Astro:Dynamics with his newly emergent sounds.

As well as producing for those assured outlets – one of which is a collaboration with Opal Tapes man Best Available Technology – so too is BNJMN conjuring up some anonymous goodness on another Dutch label, as well as recently starting up his own imprint BRACK. The label promises to simultaneously satisfy long-time listeners, and throw them for a loop – seeing BNJMN venturing outside his digital domain for the first time, eschewing polished, computer-based constructions for an altogether dirtier, darker sound.

It’s fair to say BNJMN’s soundworld is a unique one, where old rules are broken and new ones are formed on the fly. It means the man’s music is vastly different from the norm and isn’t afraid to travel off into deep, dark corners of the electronic world, taking you with him all the way.

Pour cette 10ème édition de la résidence Chromé sur Ola radio, @moderncollapse invite @janloup. 

Dès le début de son set jan Loup nous mène tout droit dans un triolet semblable aux ritournelles de Philip Glass; puis nous plongeons dans un univers cybernétique aux rythmiques précises et aux bruits algorithmiques entraînants. 
Jan Loup passe ici par des sonorités très personnelles qui nous apprennent plus sur sa personne, sa signature sonore, sa personnalité. Le côté résolument hybride est une marque de fabrique de cette nouvelle scène que nous désirons vous montrer pour cette importante 10ème édition. 

Le collage effectué par Gabriel de Sercey (@vacantexpression) est une compilation de photos de potes, de rendus blender, de paysages dessinés en 3D, de photos de profils et autres altercations de matière personnelle.
