Boundary-defying British artist Tommy Four Seven has been a respected visionary in the international techno scene for almost two decades. Since launching to global notoriety, he has continued to be an in-demand selector and producer known for his ability to capture the dance floor with a palette of dynamic sounds and rhythms.

As accomplished in the studio as he is behind the decks, Tommy has built an extensive discography that's grown in parallel with his touring career. His critically acclaimed debut LP, Primate, imaginatively fused off-kilter rhythms with four-to-the-floor minimalism, while his follow-up album, Veer, excavated even more daring and driving techno-adjacent territory. 

47, Tommy’s own imprint, is responsible for some of the most innovative techno in the scene today. Its recent 2.0 relaunch has cemented his singular stylistic approach; in the last two years, it has showcased up-and-coming artists like Quelza, Tauceti and VSK, who stand for the sleek and sophisticated aesthetic that Tommy threads through his own mixes and productions. Not just a label, 47 is also a platform for live events that takes Tommy’s musical vision around the world with a series of finely tuned live events.

This mix is a slight departure from my usual ‘tried-and-tested’ format. I wanted to play with a steady 140 BPM throughout, letting melodic elements and sound textures control the flow. It features a blend of recent vinyl releases and some of my digital-only favourites found on bandcamp, as well as a track from the new label I’m starting (Intrepid Skin) and a track my friend Nikolaj exported the very same day I recorded this (Sugar - Dark Side Of The Spoon).

Tailgating SPFDJ is no easy task. Her sharp ascent is born of a taste for dynamics that approach and bank with ecstatic momentum. Occasionally working at vicious speeds, acidic techno climes are funnelled through kaleidoscopic wares from the wealth of high-energy
outposts found across dance music today.

Though hailing from Sweden, SPFDJ’s beginnings were in London as part of the infamous collective Universe of Tang, an ongoing club operation steeped in DIY means and mystifying aesthetics. Then a relocation to Berlin prompted a new chapter of projects and activity, and the chance to import her affiliations. With sprintf, she runs the Cranial Handles transmission as well as the System.out sound system. Power Play is the latest party coerced into life by SPFDJ, sprintf, and others.

Die 26-jährige aufstrebende DJane aus Bayern hat 2006 die Liebe zur elektronischen Musik entdeckt.
Mittlerweile ist sie aber wegen ihrer größten Leidenschaft nach Berlin gezogen um sich, gerade was das Produzieren ihrer eigenen Tracks angeht, weiterzuentwickeln.
Für die ersten Auflegeversuche musste der Partykeller herhalten, aber dann ging es ganz schnell und der erste Auftritt bei „Gute Laune“ im Ampere in München stand auf dem Plan. 
Daraufhin folgten viele weitere Gigs im Ampere und in namenhaften Clubs wie zum Beispiel Harry Klein, Rote Sonne in München, das Kesselhaus in Augsburg, das Lehmann in Stuttgart und ein paar internationale Auftritte.
Ihre Sets sind stets geprägt von ihrer Offenheit gegenüber verschiedenster elektronischer Genres von Deep- und Tech-House über treibenden Techno.
