I've had a few requests if I recorded my set from the Let the People Dance party as Sussudio last month. 
It wasn't recorded but I went to my USB history and rerecorded the set for you all adding on the tracks I also played in my b2b with E.T. LE CREATÉUR at the end of the night.

What an absolute blast it was!

As part of our podcast series we proudly share the recording of the first part of NM DJ's set during our anniversary celebration at OHM.

Nadia Marcus is a poet, vocalist, DJ and designer. She spins under the NM DJ moniker, holds a residency at Berlin’s Refuge Worldwide radio station, and plays regularly for another residency at the listening bar kwia. Her musical range is wide, spanning spaced-out deep house cuts to hip-hop to liquid drum & bass – whatever the genre or style, the presence of groove and spirit is paramount, and has bumped out of systems across Berlin such as OHM, Tresor, Arkaoda and Sameheads. 

Marcus is co-editor of TABLOID Press, an imprint founded in Berlin in 2014. The publishing house maintains a focus on the text as a social space – for instance, in 2022 TABLOID released Breathing Room, a longform interview with Lakuti and Tama Sumo, focusing on pre- and post-pandemic dancefloor culture. Marcus’ poetry, art criticism and lyric journalism, often circling around the history and poetics of dance music, have also appeared in Arts of the Working Class, The Ransom Note and Edit. In addition to the collections of clothing Marcus silkscreens and releases under the TABLOID imprint, she has worked as a designer for numerous record labels including Uzuri, 3XL, wood//work and West Mineral Ltd.

Moxie - 13 year anniversary show 080524

When we first met Marie Montexier her style was shaped by her profoundly digging of UK breaks, doing so equally historically aware and forward thinking, resulting in head-turning performances even in her early days as a DJ. During the first years of her Warning residency and our friendship, she turned her attention to 90s trance sounds long before many others, and eventually became one of the most interesting techno DJs in the game. These days she's best known and loved for her power- and soulful house sets, although she does crack the techno whip from time to time. One of these occasions was her set for FVTVR in Paris last week, and we are happy to share the recording as the latest episode in the Warning Mix series. If you dig a little deeper, almost a hundred episodes back, you'll find her first contribution to the series, a still immensely beautiful recording from a Warning party - full of the aforementioned trance sound.

Timelines can be fascinating tools, liberating and limiting in similar ways, depending on how we use them. Some prefer to see them as axes of solid logic underpinning a steady sequence of developments, but maybe that they are better understood (and used) as guiding principles that enable us to navigate the manifold trends and myriad genres that make up the history of this beloved artform we celebrate here on a regular basis. More orientational resources than mapping tools, they help us establish itineraries amid the gargantuan diversity that the aural wealth we encounter across the worlds we explore. Likewise, genres are much more useful (and meaningful) while deemed as abstract places rather than actual actual locations, providing spaces for approximation and elements for permutation so we can create our own intersections. So, when we come across such a straightforward name as the one that graces the project bny our guests for this episode, we know that we are presented with more than a style or a statement, we are gifted with a range of possibilities encapsulated in the space between both musical realities, both joined by a labour of love that originates in the love for each other and the music that bonds them. It is exactly this overpouring of feelings, the overpowering energy that runs through it and between these two magnificent selectors, that make this mix so special.

Gop Cast 120 - From House To Disco

Central American born Silent Servant has performed worldwide in clubs from LA, Berlin to Osaka. A chance meeting with Karl O'Conner in 1999 would establish a friendship that would open the door to the Sandwell District label in 2006. Silent Servant's sound is a reinterpretation of early '80s post-punk electronics, paired with the deep, metallic sounds of Basic Channel and Downwards.

Rob has been spinning and digging vinyl since he was 15. Music is in his blood, he lives and breathes it both as a teacher, a professional ballerina and a dance coach. With a versatile library of weapons such as his you won’t be disappointed.

During the 13+yrs Bruist spent in Europe as a professional Ballet and Contemporary dancer, he spent years DJing for Theatre’s premier parties and New Year Celebrations with extended 6+ hr sets. His free time was spent honing his sound through partying in Berlins - Berghain/Panorama bar and Leipzig’s - Distillery and IFZ. 

Now, when Robert isn't coaching the next generation of dancers, you’ll find him on the dance floor or behind the decks. This unique selector returns to Australia with his Disco/Italo/Techno sound, this is one artist you’ll want to be hearing more of.
