DER015 Has come around quick and this release will mark our 1st birthday! So... after building up a clear and highly respected back catalogue gaining massive feedback, huge DJ support and a boat load of respect from international press, we continue the way we started, by showcasing a new face to the scene with his debut for Deep Edition and any other label for that matter, as always we base our choices on top draw music rather than names sake and welcome Rubén F to the team.

Rubén F full name Rubén Quintillán Fariña is a 32 yr old DJ & Producer from Spain who gained his knowledge of Djing from constantly been around and annoying the Dj’s in his parents Bars & Clubs in his home town. By the time he was 20 he was resident at Zoo Club playing to over 7000 people on a Saturday night. 

After gaining quality Dj’ing skills he has since turned his head towards production taking inspiration from soul RnB and Hip Hop and recently artists like Maya Jane Coles, The Timewriter, Llorca & Maceo Plex.  which leads us to the Ep. Rubén delivers 4 outstanding tracks that show off his soul influences and ties together his subtle deep house grooves, all the tracks here are stand out and should gain him some instant success.

The first release of Play Electrik Club is "Borders", an elaborated composition by Simon Gomez aka Dr. Avalance. Finalist of the Sasha remix contest for his track "Cut Me Down", he launched his first LP "Borders" after passing through labels such as Stripped, Last Night on Earth or Per-Vurt. 

Under the name of Play Electrik Club lies a project leaded by Rob Loren and Dr. Avalance. Both work from Vigo (the northwest of Spain) in order to make known new artists through the publication of electronic music whose common denominator is high quality and the lack of conventionality. 

"Borders" is a musical reference to the borders of the universe. This concept is the answer to the title given by Dr. Avalance to the LP tracks, where you can find great bass lines leading a harmonious proposal. Its sound variates from Deep to progressive rhythms, reminiscent of Trance or the darkest Progressive House. The listening of "Borders" converts its music into to main character of a sensory journey showing us the different lines of the universe...

This Dj from Vigo (Spain) first found his way into electronic sounds in 1994 and from 1999 has been surfing the vinyl grooves, first with a style of House music closer to the English and the American sounds and nowadays adopting the hypnotic sounds and evocative rhythms from the most subtle Progressive House along with some flashes from Electro, naked Break-Beat and the most authentic Tech-House.

In 2001, he started a venture as a founding member and co-owner of the Play Electrik Club&gt;, one of the bars that gambled strongest on the development of an electronic scene in the town of Vigo. The
venture, risky as well as innovative, ended in 2003, but still left a trace of his brave philosophy: the gamble, almost unknown in the city, on Drum&amp;Bass and music far from the most fashionable dance scene
taking on the challenge of the creation of a real club culture –programs such as Play Culture&gt;- or the promotion of external events like the "San Juan Party" on the beaches: in "La Fuente" –Vigo- together with Vademecwm club and in "Patos" –Nigrán.

He acts as a Free-Lance and takes his excellent selection  in his own perfectly expressed technique and with a thorough background in the structure of his sessions.

Nowadays he´s producing with Dr.Avalance for our label Play Electrik Club &gt;
