Keep it Deep

This year's burn was absolutely incredible, and Wednesday night was a crowning moment on the week!  The awesome folks at the Santa Cruz-based Ali Bar-Bar invited me to play after local legend Dancing Mandy from Midnight to 2am, and my Sextant Camp family came en masse to support and dance their tails off!  After a bit of a hectic start (I got there and realized I forgot my power cable for my controller on the Skylark art car and had to race across BRC to get it, come back, and be ready to start in 8 minutes), things started falling into place.  Around 1:55am, their camp lead and the night's closing DJ, Horst, came up and told me to keep playing if I wanted to since the place was going off and we wanted to keep the energy flowing!  It was an incredibly gracious gesture and I happily obliged.  Not a perfect set by any means, but for operating on 2 hours of sleep and playing for 3 hours, I'll take it!  Thank you so much to everyone at Ali Bar-Bar for having me out!!!  It was one of the highlights of my burn!

Wednesday Night Ali Bar-Bar Marathon Set

Playing my Saturday closing party set at DISTRIKT is always the highlight of the year for me DJing. While every year is amazing, this year was special, as everything just came together at DISTRIKT. Our brand new stage went off without a hitch, the weather was amazing, we had an incredible group of campers and it all just led to one of my personal best years at BM so far(of the 19 I've been to! ). The music, the people, the sound system and the overall vibe, just incredible. This 3 hour set has some of my favorite tracks of the past year, as well as some fun classics you’ll recognize. Hope it takes you back to that amazing afternoon on the DISTRIKT dance floor!  xo  - Kramer

Our stacked line up for the sold out LA Sacred Dance event this year meant I got to play early.  Gave me a welcome chance to build energy.  Opening for Croatia Squad meant I didn't get to play any Croatia Squad.  :-P   Opening sets are always better for re-listen value later cause the deeper tracks have more to offer over time. To start our days in celebration with music and dancing has the power to transform us, unlocking the ever-present freedom, love and happiness that can easily be muted by our daily routine. My hope is that Dawn Diaries can be a part of this transformation.

Dawn Diaries are mini-mixes that go great with coffee, morning showers and getting ready for work. Solo or group dancing, bouncing, singing and smiling are all highly encouraged.

Six months into the pandemic, and we are still just staring at the void, while the void is laughing back at us.  Lushpod #55 was recorded in Uplifter's Ranch, in the same neighborhood that Frank Baum wrote the Wizard of Oz.  From the frenetic spoken words of Kate Tempest to tracks from Husky, Joe Vannelli, Citizenn, Animal Trainer, Guy Gerber, and Idris Elba, this mix vibrates in ebbs and flows.
