"Sleep Stream was part of the first release of my Yoga Disco side project & duo Languages back in...2016! Quickly after releasing it on my good friend's label Days Of Being Wild - along with a pretty funky music video, which I dare you to undust if you wanna have a laugh! - Eskimo Recordings got in touch with us and asked us to hear more. This release got my foot in the door of this bigger label, and surely opened many other doors behind, after we released our Franz Matthews x Local Suicide collab EP 'Meditation / Tutan Jamon' on Eskimo as well. Languages sort of collapsed shortly after unfortunately, but we still have some demos laying around, and Ed and I have been talking about maybe releasing them sometime soon, so...who knows what's coming up ;) "

On In The Basement episode 075 we are joined joined by Jepe — a DJ and
producer with a proper journey behind him. He started out spinning Britpop
records on Portuguese radio when he was just sixteen, and somehow that led
all the way to Berlin, where he’s now sound engineer at Blackhead Studios in
the city. You might know him from his early days as one half of Johnwaynes, or
from his solo releases on Diynamic, Moodmusic, and Disco Halal as well as
releases on his very own Eastern Standard imprint.

He’s just dropped a single called “Universo Parallelo” with Gianet last month
and has a new slated for November, on the very same Disco Halal.
