I found a demo of this song from 2018 - just a run through for The Peace Band really - recorded on my Tascam DR-05. It was just me on acoustic guitar and vocals with help from Peace Band members Katie Gill on piano and Izzy Pereira on Cajón. I loaded up the recording into Cubase and recorded a new double tracked lead vocal over the top. I then added some backing vocals, electric guitar, bass and strings. There's an ocarina track in there as well. Katie's piano has got a bit lost in the mix unfortunately. I was originally going to record this song from scratch until I came across the demo.

Well, I'm a grandpa now, so I recorded this to celebrate my new status.

“It’s over” tells a story of heartbreak and acceptance, as the singer expresses feelings of sadness and loss after a failed relationship. Another track for my upcoming Witches, Junkies, and Weirdos EP!  There has been a lot of disturbing headlines in the news while I've been in my cave recording and have experienced a number of deaths close to me in recent years. This song is a collaboration with Robec The Genius, it's an old jazz song that I co-wrote a while back, Robec wrote new lyrics for it and sang it beautifully. I thought it sounded great, Robec added a very smooth vocal and changed the melody so now we have a new song. I have a mind and soul that uses music as an extension to express itself.  I'll find the right keys or chords or just catch a vibe and things happen. I mix it down into a sonic symphony for my ear drums and a visceral voyage for the soul. It might not sound like what's on the radio or anything like your favorite band but I'm not trying to. I simply do what It is I can do best. I do me. Simple. Authentic. Raw. 

My sound is a mix of rock and electronic elements. I've been influenced by many types of music and you'll hear it all blend together nicely if I'm hitting my mark proper. My production methods are a mix of Ableton, my guitar, my midi keyboard, and my mind. Basic, but enough to do some damage.
