Robbie Rockington – a Rapper, Singer/Songwriter, Entertainer – from Asbury Park, NJ is a versatile powerhouse who has been nurturing his craft for over 10 plus years and counting. With influences ranging from living legends like JAY Z, Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar to the late, greats like The Notorious BIG and Michael Jackson – Robbie is certainly a force to be reckoned with. Being a songwriter, first and foremost, Robbie is able to dabble in a variety of sounds and genres from Hip-Hop/R&B to Pop, while still maintaining his signature sound. Most comparable to today’s prized talents such as Drake, or a “male” Rihanna, Robbie certainly possesses a presence that captivates on and off the stage.

His most recent releases “2020” & “Rooftop.flows (Freestyle)” serve as an A-Side/B-Side display of where he currently is musically. The two records serve as the first taste of content from Robbie Rockington’s self/titled independent label imprint. His debut EP titled “The Asylum: Confessions of a Stoner” was his first solo effort which can also be found on all streaming platforms. Robbie is currently in the studio working on his upcoming project titled, “Real One” which he plans to drop this year.  

What sets Robbie apart from the new wave of upcoming artists is that he finally knows who HE is as a person and this transcends to him knowing who he is as an artist. As a black, gay man Rockington plans on making it his mission to not only bridge the gap between Hip-Hop and the LGBTQ community, but also show a different depiction of “the black, gay man”.

“I was doing music far before I even knew who I was sexually or who I chose to love, so I do not have any desire in becoming the first, or the next “Gay Rapper”. I am simply an artist who happens to be gay.
