Currently operating with unstoppable momentum via massive releases on the highly respected likes of Pryda, Anjunadeep, Still Vor Talent, Last Night On Earth and Stress (to name a few), here he makes debut on John Digweed’s label with two colourful moments of total and utter euphoria – ‘Indigo’ and ‘Magenta’.  

One bouncing into the sunset on a broken drum, the other pumping relentlessly into the stars; across the tracks Artche flexes his full silky signature. ‘Indigo’ swings with a beautiful two-step, sways with melancholy pads and sizzles with trembling pianos. ‘Magenta’, meanwhile, a much more forthright 4x4 journey. Juicy kicks and bass coated in dreamy synths and a breakdown to die for, it’s another timeless triumph for the Newcastle-in-Manchester artist who’s consistently captured the post lockdown zeitgeist in recent times. For legendary UK dance label Bedrock's 200th release, John Digweed & Nick Muir invite German DJ & producer, Jonathan Kaspar, to remix two of their tracks to mark this special occasion.

'Live Off The Grid' was originally released in 2014 as part of their 'Traveller’ album, a collaboration with anonymous sci-fi writer John Twelve Hawks. Jonathan Kaspar's remix increases the tempo of the track, and juxtaposes the deep mysterious spoken-word vocals with elegant, futuristic synth samples.

Jonathan Kaspar's second remix is of John & Nick's 2021 track 'Stand Still’ that was a stand out feature on the Quattro album. Jonathan Kaspar underpins the floating synths with a thumping beat, driving throughout the track and transforming 'Stand Still' into a deeper, darker dance track.

The interesting Italian imprint Nubians of Plutonia proudly unveils "Proton Waves," a vibrant and cohesive VA that beautifully encapsulates the label's foundational sound. This eleven-track collection serves as a compelling survey of the current Indie Dance/Nu Disco landscape, bringing together a diverse and talented roster. On board: Astore, CSK (SXDNS088), Lucas Novaes, O.P.S., Samuele De Santis, Neurotiker, TDWS, and Pleasure Seeker, the label's own guiding force, just to name a few. Together, they form a collective of modern architects, each contributing a unique piece to a brilliantly cohesive puzzle, showcasing the creative ferment currently animating the scene and setting a compelling stage for the depths that follow.

Among these contributors, Rio de Janeiro-based Neurotiker stands as a particularly notable presence, an artist whose reputation for crafting vital dance-floor material is well-earned through a series of distinguished and well-received appearances on imprints such as Emerald & Doreen, Ritmo Fatale, Club Mackan, Dogmatraxxx, and Dischi Autunno. His contribution, the masterfully titled “Tottori Sakyu,” is a peak-time tour de force. The name, referencing Japan's vast coastal sand dunes, provides a perfect conceptual anchor for the track's expansive and shifting architecture. It constructs a mesmerising soundscape from deep, undulating synth layers that ripple with atmospheric pressure, while frenzied arpeggios spiral upwards through the mix. A discreet but driving percussive framework and enigmatic, speech-like vocals weave throughout the arrangement, creating a driving, textured journey designed to command the heart of the night with its relentless and hypnotic energy.

This is probably one of the most memorial nights I've ever had at a club. I remember spending the day with the family (as this was actually on Thanksgiving day). I had a terrible cold and my family was trying to convince me to stay in, but there was no way in hell I was going to miss a party at the Abyss. Thank god I went. I forgot about being sick about 2 seconds after working through the club doors.  The music was amazing and the place was packed and definitely up for a big night. 

Incredible music, vibe and people. Saved here for all to enjoy.
