A song I wrote very quickly in September 2015, and used to perform with The Panel of Experts.

Fun fact: I had to go to hospital in early 2016 after we added the song to our live set and I mangled my hands trying to play the bassline, I had to play keyboard instead for about three months. It is now tattooed into my fingertips - I pretty much recorded the bass in a single take!

I wanted to write a straight-up rock song, so I tried out a distorted organ in place of a guitar. I actually woke up humming the intro, and rushed out of bed to jot it down. I think the harmonies are really neat in places here - I did not wake up humming those.

I started writing Another Calamity for The Hex, but put it in the "maybe" pile - when I dug it out again I decided I had to keep going.

I don't have a guitar but I wrote this one very riffy, so I programmed a distorted organ instead. I hope it sounds okay!

My first song of 2022! I have spent a lot of this year stuck recording another track that isn't coming out right, so I wrote something much simpler to try and flush myself out. Will it work!!?? Maybe!!

Sometimes you spend days painstakingly struggling to make a song sound good, other times you write an absolute jam out of nowhere like you're possessed. Party Animals burst out of me entirely by accident in the space of about three hours last Friday, and unlike most things that burst out of me, I was very pleased to welcome it into my house.
