"Slow Me Down" is Embleton’s quiet cry for peace in a world of chaos. It captures the weariness of doing everything right when nothing seems to make a difference. The song invites you to pause, breathe, rest, and slow down. Inspired by Psalm 23, it’s about releasing the pressure to perform and keep up. “I won’t fight it,” the chorus confesses—not out of defeat, but because rest might just be the best thing left to do. Embleton is the indie folk-rock project of Nashville-based singer-songwriter and producer, Kevin Embleton. Since launching in 2015, he’s released three albums with a fourth set for September 2025.
