Hi, I’m Bobby Summa. I Love to make music.

My name is Rob, my artist name is Bobby Summa. Summa means ‘unlimited’ in Latin, Latin is the basis for much western language and music is a form of communication and expression. A language of its own. 

I have always had a passion for music and the way it can make one feel. I experience synesthesia when i hear sound, all sounds. Patterns and shapes and a few colours appear in my mind. 

I got serious about writing music in the 1990’s, always exploring various musical styles and sounds and collaborating with friends(including James Manley Bird who features on some tracks) Before that it was a case of getting the most I could out of home keyboards as a kid, the favorite being a Yamaha PSS 680. 

I stopped writing music in the late 90s but unknown to me at the time, it was just a break. A 22 year break to be precise! 

I got back into writing at the start of 2020 after getting frustrated with thinking about it for so long and having many ideas. 

Boy...had much of the accessible technology changed!  

My early tracks (from starting again in 2020) are on here as a reference for me to see if or how far I have progressed. 

I’m now planning to release an EP

Would love to know what people think of my music, 

Mostly electronic of many styles. Trance, Ambient, House, Techno, chillout, and others                    (I could go on but you get the gist 🤣)basically anything I’m inspired to do that involves sound and usually electronics of some kind. 

I use hardware (novation bass station 2)  and software (DAW and various vst and plugins) Gonna fix my lovely SY35 vector synth at some point and use that in my tracks too.       At the start of 2022 I bought the amazing hardware synth. ASM Hydrasynth (desktop) 


Update: Now Signed to ‘Deep Electronics’ Record Label.
