One of the integral members of Hungarian trio Wedding Acid Group, J. Mono already has two Undersound EPs on his CV as part of that collective. Here he strikes out on his own for the first time on the London label, with four fresh takes on the interface between electro and techno.

There’s a defined personal mood on the Misted EP despite the varied tones and grooves, but nowhere is this mood as exuberant as on ‘M.aus’, a bumping bassline-driven floor mover that feels about as close as you can get to Chicago while sitting in a Budapest studio.

Undersound’s next release crosses the Black Sea to Georgia, with four more electro workouts from General Minerali.

Igniting the flight for number 20 on Anthea’s prolific Partisan label is the young and talented Argentinian, JUAAN. His direct and energetic productions have nudged him on to the radar of the underground, moving further in an upward trajectory with his “Soy Piola” EP. 
 
Built upon distinct and hypnotic synths is the A1 “Eclipc”, its transcending energy will become etched in your memory, creating a particular mood on the most discerning of dance floors. Bringing a spaced out yet dramatic vibe to the EP is “Mestreso”, an acid infused quest to an otherworldly atmosphere. 
 
The enormous “Puede Llegar” launches us into the B side, the tight and punchy drum arrangement creates a sophisticated groove, playing co-pilot to the enthusiastic elastic bass that bubbles throughout. Rounding off the EP is the sub-heavy title track “Soy Piola”, a tripped out and stripped back voyage, laced with acid splashes ready to stretch the mind of the listeners. 
 
Although only young Juan F’s outlook with music is mature, he draws inspiration and influences from the 90’s, molding this ethos into his own modern day interpretation, aiming to create something timeless for the dancers of today, but reminiscent of the dusty sounds of the past; something he also aims to enforce within his DJ sets, never restrained by genre.

"As the first release for 2023, we are happy to welcome Böhm (@bohm), part of the infamous 030303 label, to our discography with 4 tracks reminiscing of the golden days of UK techno. “Light Transmission” opens the EP at a slower pace, gently inviting the listener to the producer’s musical world. “Solar Limit” picks the pace up with intertwined portamento leads, bass-line and pads.

On the flip-side, “Unsolved Origin” continues the artist’s melodic emotional journey. The last track closing the EP, “Monarch Monster”, sees a departure from the producer’s trademark style with EBM/new beat influenced drums."

USR024 - Böhm - Unsolved Origin

The Italian electronic music scene of the 90s was a melting pot where influences from different parts of the world fused to give rise to a unique and interesting sounds. Out of this vibrant scene, Italian producer Livio Foglio released a string of EP’s under different aliases and collaborations spanning all genres of electronic music and beyond.   

We are glad to present four archival tracks rescued from DAT under his less-known Periferico alias. 
The EP opens with two positive dance floor cuts, where progressive influences meet techno flavours. On the flip-side “Ambrasex” takes the listener through an introspective journey with its nostalgic overtones. “Persuasive Flight” closes the EP, leaving the listener in a sweet trance.

We are happy to share with you our next VA, welcoming 4 new artists on the label.

The EP opens with an entrancing track by our friend Omar, characterized by its groovy and punchy nature. After witnessing DJ Koolt's electrifying performance of this track at our event in collaboration with BFC in Doka last year, we simply couldn't pass up the opportunity to release it on vinyl.

Following "Loophole" by Eversines, an electrifying track that catches you off guard and refuses to release its grip. Its tension steadily mounts, amplified by its playful melodies.

On the B-side, we have Dynamic Wave, better known for their releases on Nature Records and Disturbance, with "Spectroid," a captivating electro track. It's a mellow track characterized by its gated vocoder-like synths and a smooth, unwavering bassline.

The closing track by Enrica sets a serene and ethereal atmosphere with its ambient, dreamy melodies and gentle, slow-tempo rhythm.

Following Levat's (@levat) mesmerising performance in April at our Doka event, we are thrilled to unveil his debut EP on Undersound Recordings.

This five-track collection is a glimpse into Levat's hardware-based artistry. The A-side features dance-floor-oriented gems, with the opening track’s anthemic energy and the second track's late-night hypnotic vibes.

The B-side contains extracts from Levat's first live set on the Mudd Show, showcasing his evolving creativity and skill. The EP concludes with 'Oddlove,' a track that takes you on an emotional journey through various moods

Directly from Saudi Arabia, Noboot delivers a 4 tracker ep as his first solo 12” ever released. 

The Ep opens with  "404," a nocturnal ambiance takes center stage. The synthesizer tones weave a captivating tapestry, initiating a profoundly gratifying journey through pulsating acid 4/4 rhythms. Following "Weather Systems," cosmic dreaminess evokes pure contentment, with a neon-hued, blissful ambient backdrop.

The B side takes an even more melancholic direction with "Glumnite" that brings a dark midnight vibe, blending tempos into a mix of blue acid Electro and techno. In "Sing & Cry," the music unfolds organically, sidestepping predictable crescendos to create a melancholic atmosphere. The result is a truly poignant track that evokes genuine sadness and emotional resonance.

Barcelona’s Tunik follows up on last year’s A New Dawn with a distinct turn to the dark side as he pays tribute to the iconic, vampiric creature of the night, Nosferatu.

The horror theme on the title track is a natural fit with the Argentinian artist’s schlocky strain of EBM-styled electro-techno, but the music is no joke. Boxy drum machine jack and a suite of darkly seductive synth lines strike the perfect note between vintage flair and modernist impact, and the macabre mood lingers over the rest of this trip through gothic club music.

Whether it’s the Twilight Zone creep around the edges of ‘Slave’, acid blood raining down on ‘W72’ or the undead getting busy with the grungy bass and dry snare hits on ‘Sorrow’, Tunik has got exactly what you need to send a shiver down the dance floor’s spine and raise the temperature in the room, all in the same heartbeat.

“Void Walk” emerged from playful experimentation with gears, resulting in a straightforward, acid-laced tune.  "User Six": Inspired by an earlier live set, features a loop that straddles the lines between house and techno. “Rainy Move” was thought and produced on a rainy day, this track maintains a dreamy and ambiguous atmosphere while retaining a driving house groove.“XP Pattern Test” explores sampling from other instruments, culminating in a dark, closing track with an ominous tone.
