I love that suspenseful drama you have an adept knack for creating! You rule with a rod iron scepter in this field! Lately, I've been taken in with the English horn as it has a more subdued & pensive presence , & I favor its tonality over the French horn--though it has its place for vivid anthem like pieces-- for what I was fiddling with...I was beginning to feel solitary in that matter, & low & behold look what I discovered you had accomplished! I was so ecstatic! THANK you dear for being you!! BRAVO, reel maestro! Stay healthy!!! <3 <3 <3

Wonderful architectural but homogene, „natural“ in the same time, like some buildings carved directly into a mountain, some vegetation on the walls, some people still there... absolutely masterclass composition!!!

loving the playful nature of this. some 'unusual' chord combos (in a good way) which create a  cool tension at time.  impressed by this and some of yer other stuff so far!

Wow what a magical instrumental metamorphosis. Great arrangement. Not easy to play in this constellation for all instrumentalists. You can feel the conversation between all the instruments.

OMG! The movie:) "Arsenic and Old Lace" could've used this in its soundtrack, Robert! ...Your savvy composition skills sound as if you flew back in time & taught them what they knew!  I love how you take and ignite a room & turn it into a film festival of thrills! Even Bernard Herrmann could salute you with top score!! Wishing you the best years to come! 🎥👑🎩💎🎯

Metamorphic Variations was completed in February 2020 and is scored for Flute, Oboe, Clarinet, English Horn, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, and Tuba.

After completing my doctorate in composition in 1979 from UNT, I took 30 years off from composing to join the computer software revolution as a software engineer.  In 2010 I began composing again and have not stopped. So, I find myself beginning (restarting?) a composition career rather late in life...but that's OK.  Most of the works posted here were written since 2010.
