Honestly, while the overall product is VERY unpolished and has some genuinely unpleasant-sounding parts, there's still some good in it that might be worth saving. The Defender recreation is honestly not half bad, at least IMO. The Spreader one is a bit off-key, but has potential (I especially like how those chords at 4:34 sound). Lastly, the Industrian one actually feels kind of "right" or "intentional" in how broken it sounds, though it would need a LOT of fixing.

I know this is a pretty big step back in terms of quality, but it had to be this way to sound Gameboy-ish.
