Note this isnt a religous song it was years later when I went back to it that i relized Image wise i was inspired my a movie from my Childhood:)
Should be called Perservere as it was really hard to record both vocal and play the guitar at same time.Very basic mix/master.

keeps the dark of night at bay
and a priest who once waxed lyrically
 finds he  has nothing left to say
theirs a hush of expectation
 a calm before the storm
I'm sheltering among strangers
 waiting for the dawn


I stumbled into this place 
with nothing but the clothes upon my back
with my pockets full of empty promises
looking for the something which I lacked
an empty eyed gargoyle figure
 stood guard above the door
moonlight through a stain glass
 window cast an image of an Angel on the floor

So I took my place among them
Lost n Lonely ragged refugees
The wind outside began to rise
the priest fell to his knees
the wind made the church bell toll
no souls are saved this night
outside a cloud covered the moonlight
The Angel in the chapel took flight.

Inspire by a Conversation with my Mum who told me about two Uncle who were at Dunkirk during WW2 one died  there and the other was captured and died later in a POW Camp in Poland.

Recorded via two Channel (Voice+guitar) Condenser r microphone on ableton live .
