MPH is an energetic song taking influence from 00s alternative bands like Interpol & Bloc Party. The lyrics deal with singer Conor’s experience of ADHD and trying to understand how his brain works, mainly focussing on overthinking and not being able to switch off with music being the only way to help. 
Brought to life by producer Lewis Johnson Kellett (Pale Blue Eyes), the song is driven by a rapid drum beat and bassline as the song develops around a central chord progression with catchy interlocking guitar melodies before crashing out into a slower reverb-soaked outro. MPH has been a staple of By Wednesday’s set for the past year, firmly cementing itself as the finale of the set that pumps the crowd up for one last dance.
