Obituary: James “Jim” Nathan
Wilson, 94, widower of Norma Jean Wilson and Margaret
Wilson, died March 12, 2013, in Dallas, Texas. Born May 17,
1918, in Smithland, Ky., he was the son of the late George
Martin and Linnie Belle Crewdson Wilson. A 1934 graduate
of Livingston County High School, he was retired from
Bellsouth Telephone Co. Jim was past president of
Communication Workers of America and Telephone Pioneers
and had been a member of First Baptist Church for more
than 64 years where he served as a deacon, chairman of
deacons and a Sunday school teacher. Survivors include
three daughters, Sue Holland, Linnie (Joe) Bleggi and Pam
(Larry) Cheatham, all of Texas; six grandchildren; and five
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son,
Mike Wilson; five brothers, Edwin, Cecil, Roy, George and
Phil Wilson; and two sisters, Martha Endres and Mae Wilson.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at First Baptist
Church with the Rev. Tim Mathis and the Rev. Albert Gisler
officiating. Burial will be in Bellevue Cemetery. Pallbearers
will be Justin Wilson, Ryan Wilson, Wilson Callison, Joe
Wilson, Robert Ashley, Dale Bennett, Benny Goode and Glen
Callison. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Andrew’s
Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church. Visitation will
be 3-5 p.m. Sunday at Stith Funeral Home. Friday, March
15, 2013.
