I think we have  had many times in our lives where we all look at our place and situation and are only able to see the pain and misery, the suffering that we have had to and must continue to endure. It is not a pleasant thought to live by, but yet in these times it is a rather frequent occurrence. Realizing this, I decided to write a song that anyone anywhere could listen to, and if they did, it would be a reminder of Hope, a tune that cut the grains of a troublesome life and softly sung to them an uplifting string of lyrics. Unlike most songs, Hope does not have a chorus, it is a mere two minutes long, and yet has become a listener favourite and has many amazing stories sent in by the people who were touched by its humble message.

There are moments in time when we are so desperate, lonely, broken, and there is just one major or minor thing that we need to help redeem ourselves before all is lost. In that moment, the “thing” we need the most rises from the place we least expected, and transcends from just a material item or worldly being, to a gift from Heaven. Heaven I Dreamed Of honours that celestial present.

So many times have I found myself doubting my blessings and not appreciating all the gifts I’ve been given. When something wretched happened in my life and I lost a lot of hope, and then as I wallowed in my misery, I realized it was a wonderful trait to be able to be sad. I was alive to be sad, I was alive to have a chance to make my sadness end and smile again. On the Brightside, I was still alive, and what more could I ask for? So I wrote this song as a reminder to myself so I would never forget that so long as I lived, there was a brighter side to life. This song is now out there so everyone can have their own personal reminders, or at least a catchy fun song to listen to.

I wrote this song when I was in an utterly depressed mood. There were a million and one emotions fighting to make themselves known, and at the time the loudest speakers were that of anger and bitterness. Thusly, I knew I need to calm my mind. I sat down for four hours and wrote this song. It brings peace and smooth the transitions from turmoil to clarity.

Breathe

I've made a lot of mistakes in my life, we all have. As I started to write this song, I wanted something that had a sense of humility meshed with an eagerness to change, to grow, to learn.

While the lyrics and vocals are still in the works, they emphasize around the idea of others not judging or casting another out because of their mistakes, it focuses too on ones' own desires and what those desires entail and invoke in themselves and in others.

I can't wait to finish and record this song!
