Southern California native, Robert Download Jr. started mixing vinyl records in 1997..

His love for all styles of underground dance music made him a regular face at many raves across the Southland.

Having grown up with 2 older sisters, he was exposed to a wide selection of musical tastes, in early childhood.
Though originally a Drum N Bass DJ (Under a different moniker), Download Jr’s music background ranges from Classic Rock, 80s/90s, Gangster Rap, Easy Listening, IDM/Breakcore, Underground Hiphop and the full spectrum of traditional “Rave” genres.

Through his dedication to great track selection and seamless mixing, he quickly found himself DJ’ing at venues ranging from outdoor gatherings in the Mojave Desert, notable clubs, abandoned movie theaters and warehouses, often times in the most dangerous parts of Los Angeles and surrounding areas.

His most recent and notable work to date includes producing 3 original EDM compositions for the Emmy Award winning Television show “Bob’s Burgers.” The show’s creator Loren Bouchard has called one of Download Jr’s unreleased music projects “A fantastic piece of work” that “Sounds sure of itself and interesting.”

He was awarded a spot on the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary collection, having submitted an original track that was picked out of thousands of entries, worldwide.

Robert Download Jr. continues to push the envelope with original Techno, TechHouse and EDM compositions that are both avant-garde and familiar in groove, while his live DJ sets are carefully programmed and consistently proven to be crowd favorites.
