Created over the span of two years, Balance 032 marks a creative high point in the career of Madrid-based artist Henry Saiz, and this marks his third appearance for the hallowed compilation series. Spread over an expansive three discs, it has given him the space to curate a truly stunning odyssey of creative expression, one influenced by everything from AI to his recent ADHD diagnosis.

Henry Saiz: Live From Balance Croatia 2025

I studied music composition and conducting at Stony Brook University when first introduced to electronic music in a course taught by Bülent Arel (director of Yale's electronic music program) in the Stony Brook Electronic Music Studio. At the time there were only two builders of synthesizers, Robert Moog and Don Bucla, the latter's Bucla 200 was the modular synth used there along with Studer reel to reel tape recorders. A multi-instrumentalist having explored a myriad of musical disciplines, including flamenco, classical, Bluegrass, rock, and Renaissance/Early music, I have been producing electronic music since the early 1980's. I have produced many albums, the latest being the EP "The Elements". I've also done remixes for Henry Saiz and his label Natura and Henry included an original track of mine on his latest compilation project for the Australian label, Balance, "Henry Saiz 032". I also produce under the alias Bobby Dervich for which I have several albums and an EP. All the works are available through most platforms, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, etc.
