.defaultbox is back with the well done EP „Rise“ by label head Patrick himself under his new alias 10.000 BC. The EP is breaking boundaries and forming connections between ambient and timeless dub techno grooves. The EP opens with „7am“ which is an interplay of nature sounds, warm pads and breakbeats. „2pm“ is a colorful and warm journey into deep space. The EP closes with „3am“ which shows the tension between the organic warmth and uplifting energy of a dance floor track, followed by a heavy and thundery remix by the very talented Portuguese DJ and producer Robert Hoff.

Jeremías Hinojosa is a DJ and producer from Santiago, Chile, who started in electronic music in 2021. He focuses on a rhythmic and hypnotic sound combining environments, sounds and percussions to generate a constant journey of energy and movement through techno. His style is based on rhythmic sequences accompanied by thick bass and synthesizers.

Formerly known as Robert S (PT) ,portuguese techno artist returns as Robert Hoff. This time to stay, signaling an transition in the work of the young talented producer .
On this release Hoff delivers three finely cut techno tools and joining in ,Stanislav Tolkachev with a robust remix of Cytoskeleton.

The release opens with “Anhihilation”, a moment of reflection. Darkness and hope combining,
Shifting layers of noise carefully designed to begin the journey.

Cytoskeleton is a raw,highly hypnotic peak time techno weapon .
Guaranteed to bring energy to the dance floor with it’s rolling percussions and bass.

For the second and last part of our online anniversary celebration, we had the pleasure to invite the Belgium DJ and producer Border One. Border One is truly a master of his craft which explains why his music can be found in the record bags of many respected artists. His music is released through his own label Border One Records and other well-known labels like Token and Key Vinyl.

To get you into the right mindset for this podcast we spoke with Border One who shared how he approaches his club sets:

'I really enjoyed recording this podcast for Embodiment. I was looking forward to making my Dutch debut at your event earlier this year, but unfortunately, the situation in the world took a different turn. I personally appreciate smaller parties that secure an intimate vibe a lot as that environment gives me the opportunity to connect with my audience. At the beginning of my sets, I aim to get people’s attention with minimalistic trippy sounds. After I build up enough tension I like to pull out some heavier material to make the body surrender to the trip that is occurring in the mind. I tried to capture this in the podcast, so people can experience what I pursue in my club sets.'
