ho sempre preferito lasciare ‘fluttuare’ le cose piuttosto che cercare di definirle e il cosiddetto ‘mondo fluttuante’ - ukiyo-e - o l’abitare ‘poeticamente’ sono i miei ambienti e il mio orizzonte .. mi rendo conto che se fosse dipeso da me - o da quelli come me - probabilmente il mondo sarebbe un po’ più 'indietro' - diciamo così - sul piano evolutivo, ma forse - forse - anche meno distruttivo o autodistruttivo, chissà .. buon anno del Coniglio 😊

Disquiet Junto Project 0579: Memory Serves
The Assignment: Rerecord a piece of music.

I chose https://krakenkraft.bandcamp.com/track/star-spawn from a 2017 release, which means I may have made it 2016 or 2015. 

Originally it was completely made with the compact DAW Caustic for Android. This time I used only the MIDI data export and rearranged it in Reaper with u-he Repro and Arturia Mellotron. 

Main objective was to get closer to my perception of the spirit of Berlin School style sequenced electronica. I put a lot of efforts in it and it is definitely more sophisticated. Nonetheless I'm not sure wether I really like it more than the original in every aspect.

Calm, soothing droning layers gradually unfold and slowly pass through you.

Lately, I've been thinking about time, its flow, its pace, how it's perceived. Most likely because I feel the need to learn how to slow myself down, self-regulate, deal and cope with feelings of anxiety that has been a frequent visitor recently. 

And this piece is my honest attempt at creating something that would soothe me and help me to do just that - slow down.
