File Update #9: Made outro voicings way more operatic and they now align with the power of guitar bass and drum to end

File Update #8: First lead guitar feeler run

File Update #7: Drums expanded to help lead the gallop late on. Rolling toms thoughout pitch shifted down -1 and -2 octaves one track each. The gallop is achieved by playing 8th notes with a dotted delay giving that off beat in the delay. You can tend to go from following the dotted rhythm to back straight to straight 8th's giving beats with delay like this even more movement across the phrase from that shift in expression

File Update #6: Adjusted drums to reflect guitar power better. Added Peruvian pan flutes mirroring vocal in some lead parts. Added cellos & basses to unison the guitar power chords. Playing with reverse effected Blackbird vocal at the end also. What I may do is make this rev effected BB vox properly on the whole phrase and then TBD sing it forwards over that and should sound cool… then do the same again . reverse my TBD forward vocal and should have a very weird and wonderful double forward double reverse unison to finish. Schweeeeeeeeeeet

File Update #5: Two electric guitars added. Each with slow arpeggio to start with one evolving to rhythm and the other to lead/rhythm. Again possibly too dominant will be fixed in a mix

File Update #3: More TBD voice trying to get closer to Blackbird. I'll fix any busy~ness that has cropped up with some mix TLC when I think we're done.  Put in a crow sound at the end because I'm a furking stoner and asked alexa (I call mine Computer because I feel like Picard 👴🏽😆) to make a Blackbird sound haha

File Update #2: TBD voicings more prominent and Blackbird stereo tracked and spread. Tom prominence increased. Real Bass in throughout.

For this rendition I aligned the Acapella with an 82 BPM project and built from there. The way the original vocal is built lends itself very well for this as there are nice spaces to chop it up with minimal detriment. I think 82 (maybe 81) the best tempo to work with if you wan to try this for Blackbird and let your imagination run wild with it. It's incredible vocal practice and I think the enthusiasm is there for more versions.
My cat Yoda pays us a visit too throughout...

Listening to this just fed me a wonderful memory. In 3rd year Music class in school Mr Kelly asked the whole class, "What is the most beautiful instrument of them all?"
We took turns guessing... Guitar, Violin, Piano....

This song began when Sean, who is a superb writer of catchy pop songs, was inspired by the classic surfer movie, The Endless Summer. He wrote it on his acoustic guitar with a mind to sharing it with Eclectic Collective. He first shared it with Ken, who promptly provided driving drums and invited the rest of us to play on it, too. Josh hopped on first, adding his bass and completing the rhythm section.
  About this time, Tez got involved, laying down the Ventures-esque melodic electric guitar you hear throughout. Right after Tez did his thing, Stephen came along soon after and completed the lead part with his fuzzy, adventurous guitar. 
  At this point, it still felt very stringy, so Josh decided to lay down the organ part you hear in there, too. Once it was cooked, we tapped Stephen to do his expert brand of production, mix, and mastering to get it ready to serve. 
  This is the second time Ken and Josh have collaborated with Sean, the first being almost two years ago on a song called Diamond Marigold. When Sean approached Ken with a second song, not only Ken was thrilled, but Josh and the rest of the gang were, too. Sean has a lot of great, catchy, accessible music on his page that is all worth putting in your ears.
  We dedicate this song to Artur of Surfers Like Us. Although he didn't play on this one, he spirit lives inside of all of our music, especially the surfer kind. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed creating it.

The outro in this chapter is a reworking of an excerpt from Music for Strings, Percussion & Celesta by Béla Bartók, sans the Celesta and percussion.
