Tong 桐 is the next generation carrier for Chicago/NY House and Detroit Techno in Naarm. Born and raised in Northern China, Tong’s love for dance music emerged in Beijing’s then sole underground club “灯笼 Lantern”. 

Now based in Melbourne and honed skills from top mentors, Tong has shared his music in various events and venues. With a strong focus on “progressive soul”, Tong seamlessly weaves groove, funk, soul and tech in his unique house music sound.

When Konstantin (Giegling) asked me to play on a Giegling night, I felt surprised, as this is a genre/label that is a bit more out of my comfort zone. However, he asked me to play whatever I wanted in the second, more "disco" orientated room at Giegling in Chinastraat, Ghent, Belgium. I am happy to share my selection with you. Picture this, packed courtyard, bodies moving in unison, party is in full swing, warm winter evening, vibes are high. @garthlinton and @tsuramusic step up to the platters after the legend James Locksmith and deliver a masterclass in b2b house music action. 
Applause and whistles after every transition, big smiles, cheeky banter and playful smiles between the two from the pigeonhole.
This was one for the memory banks, and that translates in the recording. Now we're all free to listen to it as we please ❤️🤠🙌
