It would be great to know how you feel about the little black box?

THE LITTLE BLACK BOX mix is a strange idea I thought of in my head, I had imagined a black box loaded with assorted sound elements crammed into this square space trying to find a way out. I imagined each sound element to be instruments  (percussion instruments, bass, drum tracks, melodys, rhythms, synths, voices, effects, chords, had a unique purpose to complete before gradually being released. The mission for each element was to find its significant other, no matter how different or incapable they may appear. With this idea in mind, I compiled a wide range of music raging from disco, tribal rhythms, funky bass lines, chunky beats, trippy soundscapes, thumping drums, razor-sharp hi-hats, climaxing vocals, and laser-sharp synth elements. After selecting the perfect element collection, I am satisfied with how this mix came together. I hope this Little Black Box of assorted sound elements makes you happy. Today's featured guest, David Meyer, exemplifies this sentiment while being a skillful selector with a passion for disco, acid, trance, house, EBM, electro, and breaks. ELECTRIC LIGHTS - Women in Electronic Music Vol. 2 Katja Ruge DJ Set

Electric Lights originates from a photo project by Katja Ruge in collaboration with Thomas Venker, Kaput – Magazine for Insolvenz & Pop, where the interviews and photos of female artists are published online. 
In an extraordinary DJ set series some of these artists play under the 21m huge dome of Planetarium Hamburg alongside the photographer herself, Katja Ruge:  “The special connection between space research, electronic music, photography, immersive projections - all rely on the intensive use of technology and complex machines - and the compound, shared levels of meaning make the planetarium the place for space in Hamburg "

This is a very personnel one with lots of favourite tracks I explored in a new way during a time of grief and sadness this last winter.

This week's guest mix is Jinjé. 
As a founding member of the Leeds-based experimental band Vessels - an act acclaimed for their ability to defy categorisation - Lee Malcolm is no stranger to breaking the boundaries of genre. With his solo project, Jinjé, he delves into atypical sonic wanderings that navigate between acoustic and electronic, synthetic and organic, employing a learned ear for the fusion of seemingly disparate elements. Following on from his MESH debut back in 2021, Jinjé returns with Escape from Luna, a four-track EP expanding further on the infinite sonic worlds of his solo production work. For this latest release on MESH, he hones in on these moments of coalescence, fusing various stylistic pieces together with an infectious sense of optimism and an open mind.

This is no bio but an introduction to what I stand for and my current events as they develop. My name is Roberto Q. Ingram from Cincinnati Ohio to Huntington Beach California to Los Angeles and now living in Munich Germany. Let me introduce myself to you as a music lover since I was a kid, 30 years as a DJ, and 10 years as producer/remixer.  Everything I do in life is done with the utmost passion to excel minus the posing, boasting or bragging to the world through the social media network hype. I prefer to build my relationships from the ground up with you.

My projects Decisive Podcast Series & Radio Show is the Vessel that contains Professional Artist, Musicians, Dj´s and Producers. I started producing my podcast for Inspiration Network since mid-2009, The series of DJ mixes are conceived to give you an idea of how different styles of quality electronic music can open your mind and hopefully affect your emotions differently at any given time. 

The next episodes expand globally with music mixes by Roberto Q. Ingram and carefully selected guest talent worldwide. Two to three times per month depending on the workload in 2015. I hope you will listen and embrace the various artists and styles of music I feel to be significant and bound to no genre. I must represent a brand that focuses on passionate Dj`s, Musicians & Artists that take the risk and bold enough to experiment with introducing only quality music.
