1915 THE ARMENIAN FILES
A project by Roberto Paci Dalò

1915 is a date that reminds us all of the fragility of our human society and its incredible arrogance: Medz Yeghern (the Great Crime) also known as the Armenian Genocide of 1915.
Roberto Paci Dalò after working in the area of image and sound in relationship with fragile human environemnt connected with historical diasporas and dramatic mass-movements (Ye Shanghai, Il grande bianco, De bello Gallico, a.o.) is now embarking into a new adventure that somehow summarizes and brings further his researches and interests.
The project will be starting from these terrible events and through a continues research that sees the beginning of it with a week of radio, exhibitions, and live performances in Italy, Belgium and Austria between April 23 and May 3, 2015.
The project will travel to Istanbul, Beirut (exploring the Arab Image Foundation), Erevan and several other places in order to meet people and collect images, sounds, stories, voices.
It can be the starting point of a digital database, a hub for the development of a constellation of projects and collaborations.

The outputs of the project will include the followings:
- Concerts
- Music-Theatre Performance
- Film
- Radio work
- Interactive sound and video installation
- Publications (book, e-book, record, dvd)
- Exhibitions (drawings, sculptures, maps)

This project is done in collaboration with Arthub and other organizations such as Giardini Pensili (italy), FuturePerfect Productions (New York), ORF Kunstradio (Austrian Broadcasting Corporation), Galerie Mario Mazzoli (Berlin).

PSNEurope spoke to award-winning engineer Marta Salogni about her amazing career to date, which has recently seen her receive the 2018 Breakthrough Engineer of the Year title at this year's MPG Awards. She told us about freelancing in a fickle business, her beginnings working in live sound in small venues in Italy and flying to Iceland to mix for Bjork on her latest album Utopia.

Demetrio Cecchitelli, born in 1997, is a musician, multi-instrumentalist, improviser, composer and research artist. In his sound performances gestures and textures melt composing layers and timbrical juxtaposition. He uses lots of techniques from the concrete music's experience and both electroacoustic, where the usage of different sound sources, mixed to live electronics and instrumental parts argue the compositional and performative act.
"Memoria" is a collection of sound works. The mix wants to compose an imagery of floating insights, by inserting textural harmonies and
reminiscent light. A sudden revelation of long date dreams, déjà vu and postcards.

Roberto Paci Dalò is a composer / sound artist, musician (clarinets / electronics), theatre director &amp; filmmaker, and visual artist based in Berlin and Rimini. His work is focused on sound and drawing expanding these formats into sculpture, installation, music, film, performance. Collaborative projects with a special interest in urban explorations and site-specific projects. His work have won him international admiration from, among others, John Cage and Aleksandr Sokurov. Collaborations include Kronos Quartet, Alvin Curran, Tom Cora, Stefano Scodanibbio, Robert Lippok, Philip Jeck, Terry Riley, Yasuhiro Morinaga. A pioneer in the use of digital technologies he presents live media performances in the main venus of the international electronic scene. He has been recipient of the Berliner Künstlerprogramm des DAAD Fellowship and collaborates with the lettera27 Foundation and Moleskine. Director of the Giardini Pensili group.
Latest releases:  "The Maya Effect" in collaboration with Scanner/Robin Rimbaud (L'Arte dell'Ascolto 2011), "Japanese Girls at the Harbor" in collaboration with Yasuhiro Morinaga (Concrete 2012).
Projects presented throughout the USA, Canada, South America, Russia, Middle East, Japan, China, Mexico, Israel, Africa, and Europe. His galleries and museums' work is represented by Galerie Mario Mazzoli Berlin.
