Ahead of our appearance on the 8th October at Defected Malta where we host a house foundations (86-96) stage, Stuart Patterson has compiled a mix of some Faith favourites from the period.  100% vinyl it takes in early vocals from Intense, Tammy Banks and Velma Wright, deepness from Precious and Swing 52.  Darker and tribal sounds from Funky Green Dogs and Kiwi Dreams, a touch of wild pitch from DJ Pierre in his Phuture Scope guise and a drop of acid from The Endless Poker. Plus plenty more early house joints that help shaped the house music phenomenon  that still stands strong today.

This track contains one of the all time great lyrics. It also contains one of the best basslines. I am not arrogant enough to think I have improved on it but I have tweaked it for my sets. All together now ... 'I only want o be your one life stand'.

Rob Gray is a music historian and philosopher. He started off his musical educaton in deepest darkest Essex and was a mainstay in mid-noughties the London dance scene. Originally a fan of guitar music he became interested in electronic through nineties trance and went on to support dance luminaries such as Seb Fontaine.
His palette is eclectic but he is often to be found singing word for word classics of the New York, Chicago, pop, soul and Disco ouvres. Rob's sound mixes the new and old whilst always respecting the music.
