 Robi Mitch gets straight down to business with new song Brother. Following the laid-back grooves of Close / Closer (Nice Guys Records, Jan 2021), Brother glimmers with energy. Drummer Mike Griffiths’ new jack swing beat sets the chorus alight, while bassist Liam Owen gets up to some frankly naughty business during the outro as Robi busts out his slinky guitar licks.

Drawing further inspiration from his time in Taiwan (the smooth, disco/funk-inspired vibe is particularly reminiscent of Sunset Rollercoaster), Robi also nods the head to British influences from Hot Chip to Bowie’s Let’s Dance.


Brother explores themes of unrequited (forbidden?) love, ambiguity in relationships and the terrors of adolescent infatuation, showcasing yet another side to Robi's musicality in the process. The track is released digitally in association with Bristol pals Fruit Machine on 4th February.
