You’ll never know if you don’t even try. There is giant power in asking for what you want. All too often, our internal chatter prevents us from taking the steps needed to get us to our own unique form of greatness. We get kept small from our inner imaginings-so many of which are lies.

The best of the best, those who live glorious lives – that matter – ask like crazy. They understand that it’s a habit that must be polished for it to shine. And the more you do it, the easier it gets (like any skill). And so they ask.  For the support and help they need at work. For the understanding they may seek at home. For a break they need for their business. For a better table at their favorite restaurant. For a better seat at a sold-out concert. And because they ask more, the get more (success always has been a numbers game).

Nothing happens until you ask. People are not mind readers. They need to know what’s meaningful to you, and if you ask nicely, they just might say yes.

Imagining your next-level of heroism and then having the guts to get that dream done is, to me, why we are here.

While the majority does long for pure success, real greatness and their place at the table of genius, they refuse to install the beliefs, run the routines, do the work and live the days that would make so much of their readily observable reality.

This world of ours is full of great thinkers who never realized their greatness. They were strong on the thinking piece but weak on the execution side. And they suffered as a result of that constraint. World-class people get both right. They are superb strategically and brilliant tactically. Really creative and really good at getting things done.

So jump start your commitment around execution. Yes, capture your ideas and bask in the glow of a brilliant thought. And then reach deep into your inner power and have the discipline to do whatever it takes to make the idea a reality.

It takes a brave person to be open. To speak your truth even when your voice shakes and to feel safe to show up as who you truly are is how warriors roll.  Anyone can put on a mask. It’s easy to wear a suit of armour as you navigate this dangerous world. Yet to be raw and real and decent and good. Oh—that takes strength. And true leadership.⁣

There’s zero doubt in my mind that you were made to become a masterful communicator. And by making this trait your default, you’ll get to genius in the way you connect quicker than you might imagine.

Nothing fails like success and the moment we fall in love with our proven patterns for winning, we’re on the path to irrelevance.

...disrupt or be disrupted.

...adapt or be defeated.

During this storm, rather than play victim and wish things were the way they used to be (those days are gone), elevate your leadership game and out-invent everyone around you.

Rather than freezing, create new value that your marketplace will adore. Products that customers now need more than ever and services that will help them make their desires real.

Suffering has always provided soil for awesome creativity, next-level productivity and innovation.

The Assignment: Take something whole and erase half of it.

I not only removed half of the tracks (all the strings, bowed basses and cello) but also edited heavily to create a shorter version of the original, trimmed from 2:34 to 1:31 minutes long.

I kept (most of) the melodica, electric bass and electric guitar parts.
