About the mix: Creo que pocos géneros de música electrónica suenan tan versátiles y atemporales como lo hace el House. Tracks de los 80 y los 90 conviven perfectamente con tracks producidos en la actualidad y, a pesar de que la tecnología y el sonido han evolucionado, su esencia sigue siendo la misma.
Hace años, el House se convirtió para mí en un espacio seguro, encontrando mi lugar en clubs madrileños tristemente desaparecidos como el Soho o el LP. Ha sido un enorme placer redescubrir y sumergirme de lleno en este género durante el último año. Con él he configurado mi identidad como DJ.

This time, the pair deliver a captivating and brooding sub-aquatic single, with Beale’s mesmerising mantras and mermaid-like musings pulling you straight into the raw percussive groove. On the flipside, Versatile Records’ very own Gilb’r pulls all of the elements even deeper under the surface, turning it into an intriguing, liquid dub excursion.

The Lo-ve-Fi residents, lea and Miyra Lim, originating from Vienna, Austria, enjoy the old school vibe that 2-step and UKG bring to the table. Nonetheless, you’ll also find plenty of new school tracks in both of their selections.  Lea’s attention is primarily caught by the typical swing of the genre, whereas Miyra keeps to the soulful vocals and irregular rhythms.

The two selectors complement each other well, as they always try to keep a light demeanour while creating a steady flow in their b2b sets, a feature that they also carry out while venturing in different genres, like house, footwork and jungle, together.

~ BIO
Robin Flux is a multifaceted DJ/producer, dancer and interdisciplinary artist based in Copenhagen, having performed in revered venues across Europe, the US and Asia, with a recent extensive tour in Japan and Korea.

Inspired by the early era of underground dance and club culture in the US, Robin developed his own unique sound, pushing the boundaries of traditional DJing. He experiments with multiple decks including both digital and vinyl, sophistically creating, deconstructing, re-arranging multilayered, heavy sample-based performances, that are situated between house and techno, with discerning dips into ballroom, club, garage and disco.

As an active dancer in the international ballroom, whacking and house dance communities, he is dedicated to creating queer-centered, intentional safe spaces where dance culture can thrive in non-judgmental environments, which he manifests through various experimental club concepts, dance sessions and community events in Copenhagen.

As a DJ he supported well-established artists such as Cinthie, Levon Vincent, Amy Dabbs, Dam Swindle, Peach, Baba Stiltz, DJ Boring and many others. As a producer, he has released his music on international labels such as Miura Records, with recent features on The Lot Radio NYC, XLR8R and Dure Vie Paris, among others.
