Final single lifted from their eagerly awaited debut long-player due for release via Stil vor Talent on July 14, Esther Silex and Heiko Tubbesing's latest instalment 'Ameca' is the very epitome of Almost Falling's signature sound. Commixing up-to-date societal awareness with an unflinching club-focussed grammar, Esther and Heiko invite their listener to take a pause and think things through, using the dancer's body as a prism of communication as much as their lyrics play a key role in transporting that "free-spirited up-bringing right into your living room" they've come to champion.
Cold-as-truth spoken word, fragmented pop motifs and cold wavey riffs merge organically on Almost Falling's lead-single 'Ameca', an ode to the duo's capacity at digesting its time and era through hybrid compositions, never quite picking a side between functionality and pensiveness. Minimal in essence yet making optimal use of the Prophet 12's transportive qualities, or the Moog Sub 37's versatility (all processed through Ableton), the tracks here presented exhibit Esther and Heiko's sense of spatialisation and songwriting in intoxicating fashion.
A contrasting tale of digital / IRL ambiguity, 'Rain' has us dipping toes in cinematic grounds thanks to its haunting strings, whilst incisive trap patterns and a wailing bass chops it all up post-modern style. Perhaps the roughest, most in-your-face track off the package, 'Roots' draws back to the duo's trip-hop-informed origins. Unfolding the mantra of not letting your roots hold you down, Almost Falling encourages us to learn how to move with the flow and reinvent ourselves, without cutting off the mooring lines that hold our past, present and future together. 'Ameca' is an oath of truth.

For the fifth and final single in advance of his “Trip to Sanity” album, Oliver Koletzki teams up with a true heavyweight of the scene – the techno-pop-legend that is Fritz Kalkbrenner. The result, “Heart on Hold”, marries Kalkbrenner’s unmistakable vox and emotive lyrics with Koletzki’s punchy production, lacing atmospheric synths through a brooding bass-line and driving beat.

Bulgarian allrounder Pavel Petrov and Stil vor Talent faves Hidden Empire each then bring their own unique touch to “Heart on Hold” by way of two contrasting remixes. While Petrov uses Fritz’s vocals sparingly on-top a flexing electro-acid workout, Hidden Empire give a masterclass in tension-and-release dynamics with their trance-inducing reinterpretation. Describing the sound and sonics aesthetics of Robin Schellenberg’s music, one could tend easily to use bold buzzwords like „Melodic Techno“ or „Deep House“  – but there is something more to it: his productions oscillate effortless through a soft dystopian void full of sweeping build up’s: His tracks are drifting endlessly into an infinite sky, twisting from warm unisonos into harsher electronics, just to break down into well-tempered saturated up-tempo beats. It's not Dark Techno by definition, but Robin often gets driven towards its aesthetic, without drifting into its cold industrial repetition. His tracks feel like a deep yearning for the horizon, pulling the dancer tenderly forward with soft melancholy. In his DJ-Set’s all of this falls into place, with tempi from 119 – 125 bpm, blending deep, dark and psychedelic elements into heavy sweeping bangers, to slowly lead the dance floor into a sweet and endless decay.

Robin played around Germany, Europe, Asia and America in cities and countries like Mexico, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland, Istanbul, Faro, Vienna, Zurich, Kiel, Munich, Leipzig, Stuttgart, Hamburg, his hometown Berlin and many more. He is represented by Clique Bookings, which worked with acts like Trentemoller, Jepe, Modeplex, youANDme, and others. 
Robin co-founded United We Stream and Klunkerkranich Berlin and is Member of the Board of Berlin's Clubcommission.
