this is a mash up before mash ups started . a one off insane dj tool i mixed that ended up #1 in buzz chart , #1 in coolcuts , played to death on his dj tours by pete tong incl essential mix . 

a lot of people tried to make this release happen but it was too complicated legally so stayed as my orig indy pressed and distributed 12" , subsequently re-bootlegged in various formats and various countires over the years ;-)

as far as im aware it was the first track that ever sampled this BB classic 

in teh ultimate nod of the approving daft punk head , it was twice featured in their radio 1 essential selections mixes , and a feature of their dj sets

Working in various dance music shops from 1985 , djing since 1988 , and from 1991 to the present day being at the heart of the award winning 3 beat records in liverpool, rob jay even formed his own label glow records with a few of his close buddys , which most leading djs supported throughout its releases. fans include tong, sanchez, sasha and tenaglia, the latter of who was quoted in mixmag as saying glow was 1 of 2 labels in the mid 90s which really influenced him ... how cool is that! .. 

never one to pigeon hole himself musically, rob was even voted the 2nd best up and coming dj by muzik magazine even tho he had already djd at some of the most influential early house clubs years earlier !, having played regularly in legendary clubs such as shelleys with sasha , oz in blackpool [sasha's first ever residency home], and a large number of sets in ledgendary cream over many years in all 3 rooms , including 3 new years eve parties and hosting his own room for his label glow records . 

One of the early house music djs and industry people in the acid house explosion from the mid 80s , his favourite DJing experience to date was his USA tour with friends paul kane (desert) and ledgendary USA dj doc martin . 

robs recording career began in 1996 when he formed hong kong trash. he had numerous releases including the highly collectable sasha digweed hammered cactus funk which went on to have 6 radio 1 plays and essential mixes , and the equally as large down the river , which was played to death by sasha and pete tong also , and went on to be released on 8ball nyc and cyber holland . also recording under numerous other monikers such as graffiti on mars "energy flash" [tongs essential new tune also!] , and coloured oxygen "falling" and "global house" releases . just for good measure he produced the intergalactic beastie boys remix which was pete tongs essential new tune of the week on radio 1 ! .. 

with a good selection of remixes along the way such as the much sought after riverdance on perfecto, tracks for global undergrounds label , as well as the flipside to the biggest selling dance record of 98, darios "sunchime" being a couple of many examples . robs also involved with some playstation game soundtracks , including the hugely selling wipeout. .. 

Rob has also helped a+r for record labels like 3beat , defected , manifesto , 3beat , and has helped sign some big dance singles such as "higher state of counsciousness" amongst many

Recently under his latest long term artist project mirabeau , rob has teamed up with colin airey. An already established dj , colin has also had releases out previously on high profile labels like harlem / kidology etc and dj's for hed kandi . rob jay and colin airey formed MIRABEAU in 2003 , and immediately undertook 2 remixes for rainstar and chakra , before setting out on their first debut single entitled brass disc which was snapped up by seamus haji for big love records and supported by many leading dj's including being featured in Pete Tongs hottraxx section where he reviews the 3 biggest tracks of the week in club land . .. their next single back from outta space was again played by tong which led to italys hottest label oxyd jumping at the chance to sign it . reaching ..1 in the buzz chart , ..3 in the hype chart , ..6 in the coolcuts , this was one of the the top 5 ibiza anthems in 2004 . it has now had an amazing 6 plays [incl the award of essential new tune] by pete tong on radio 1 . pete tong said "THIS IS THE BIGGEST TRACK IN PACHA , IBIZA" .. as it ripped up SPACE TERRACE and pacha daily .

meanwhile rob and colin have an offshoot for our more twisted output weve created an alter ego called hydroponix [the twisted twin of mirabeau!!] . first single was a track entitled dont stop, go . it has been released on sander kleinenbergs label little mountain records , and featured on the renaissance comp from sander . its debut play on radio 1 was on sasha & digweeds essential mix broadcast from Renaissance on radio sept 2004 , quickly followed by deep dishs essential mix play . we also have 2 singles out on the world leading forensic imprint , entitled 'houston calling' , and 'inner love' which have both been blasted by the worlds coolest djs .' .. 

my main projects at the moment are recording solo under the monikers 'speed kills' and the ongoing 'graffiti on mars' , recently scarlet fantastic 80's cult classic 'no memories' was remixed as an official new release [not a mash up lol] . speed kils recent projects finished are  a.s.b.o. , laserbeam speed kills remix , scarlet fantastic - no memories speed kills remix , shake it 2 mixes , rules of the game , tribute to david mancusso , etc] . .. while graffiti on mars have things like the bad for lashes 'laura' remix which is hot with sasha, atfc, dave seaman and nick warren etc . and has just been released on toolroom with a co produced mark knight remix , while the discofied output is under alias black rebel and you can get smile out now late 2014 on editorial records on the love dubs ep .
