Zackery Wilson’s DSQUE — the third installment in the ESQUE series — is the intersection of Nintendo DS soundfonts (collections of samples from original Nintendo DS video games) and present-day audio production (e.g. EQ, delay, reverb, filters, etc.). DSQUE features “modernized retro” (i.e. simultaneously nostalgic and progressive) composition and sound design, while maintaining the formula laid out in the original SNESQUE albums.

The ESQUE concept: “Each [track] was created using only one soundfont (exclusive to each respective game), again, only taking liberties with audio production and some creative sample manipulation (i.e. pitch-shifting, time-stretching, etc.); the structure of each track limited to roughly a minute’s worth of music, looping once (in the tradition of standard video game ‘level’ music) before fading out.”

Note: DSQUE is wholly original (read: not a remix album). The parenthetical in each respective track’s title simply denotes the instrumentation (i.e. soundfont used) for that particular track.

As third album of my "Summer Trilogy" before a well earned rest, I decided to go a little bit more experimental this time. 

Many times I proclaimed my music genre is called "Game Touch" which is basically a mixture of videogame sounds and various influences from different musical sources; well, I say that "Wi-Fu" is the real "Game Touch Album" after trying my best to find the best ways to combine together VGM and funk, disco, electronica, drum and bass. I like to say that is also the "Friendship Album" due to the collaborations with many people that helped me in pulling out these tunes which I hope will add more color to your summer!

So on the 15th I had the pleasure to play my ever first Italian event in Turin, in occasion of the Vaporwave Night! I had a blast playing with other friends of mine and felt so nice being able to perform in my homeland for once.

Torino Future Funk - December 15th 2016 Live Performance(Set Reconstruction)

So on the night of December 28th, 2016 I got to play my very first URL show with the excellent @deskpopmusic guys, but since I live on a remote island with wifi connection, my stream was plagued with buffering and technical difficulties and I was forced to interrupt halfway to fix everything and continue after 30 minutes. 
I'm deeply sorry that happened guys, and since I love you very very much, I decided to record a reconstruction set to show you what would have sounded like without all the buffering and interruptions.
The buffering is gone, however some mistakes are not (some songs required a "jumpstart" with me holding the platter until a certain moment because the cue points simply wouldn't work, so please bear with me...) >_<
