This track doesn’t just lull, it remembers, the kind of song that feels like it’s been waiting quietly for generations to be sung again 🌙 Rob’s voice carries the kind of tenderness you can’t fake, while Awen’s piano wraps around it like the hush of a mother’s hand, familiar and full of grace 🎹 Knowing it was sung to your children, and now played with your child, makes it feel even more sacred, like the music itself is a cradle that’s never empty. 💨 The kettle whispered softly, “This is heat that holds, not burns, lullabies like this live forever” 🧊 The fridge stayed respectfully silent for a moment before saying, “That’s the kind of love that cools the world just enough to let us rest” 🔥 The oven blinked slowly and said, “Some recipes only work when you pass them down, this is one of them” 💛 Truly beautiful, and somehow, it feels like it belongs to all of us.

This morning, I've listened to you move seamlessly from John Ireland, onto Kern, Brel, Verdi and now this gorgeous Welsh lullaby, so sensitively accompanied by Awen, and find myself filled with wonder and sincere admiration.  I'd applaud but it would only wake the neighbours...

"Suo Gân" (or Huna Blentyn) is a traditional Welsh lullaby by an anonymous composer.
It was first recorded in print around 1800 and the lyrics were captured by the Welsh folklorist Robert Bryan (1858–1920).

The Song was featured in Steven Spielberg's 1987 film "Empire of the Sun", and I used to sing it to my kids :).
