Massive, is the eleventh track on my new album, Study Break.  This track is dedicated to the entire Jungle Massive out there. The folks who can’t wait to hear that classic break drop. The faster, the harder, the darker the better.  Before House, before Techno, even before Drum & Bass, I came to love Jungle.

Canadian Kid, the seventh track on the new album, Study Break.  Having grown up in Toronto, move to the burbs in junior high and moving back downtown for school and now working in the core, I can say definitely I am a Canadian Kid, perhaps now a man, just perhaps.  This Electronic workup is the only track on the album that experiments with building broken delayed rhythm on a voice that founds its way on top of a juicy break.  Let’s say this one is dedicated to Canada, the truly Great White North, eh?

Joy, the fifth track on the new album, Study Break.  My second personal favorite track on the album.  From the first time I played out this track, it truly brought me nothing but Joy.  The influence for this track was a great producer friend, who I asked which soft synth was there favourite and they said FM8 from Native Instruments.  I took this as a cue to delve deep into this vst and found it did have great features, just like other favourites like Reaktor and Max / MSP.  This track is dedicated to that friend and all of my friends who have inspired my creativity.

The album "Study Break" was composed over the course of 4 years.  An extensive study in break beat drumming used to inspire compositions across a full range of electronic genres.  Each track inspired by a mix of classic breaks, composed as a full album progressing in tempo from 84, 110, 128 and 168 beats per minute.  This full album continuous mix brings it's listener along this entire ride with side chained ambient passages and deep syncopated mixes.  It would bring me great joy to think of people sitting back and relaxing, driving or dancing along to this mix, inspired by the broken drum rhythm.  This is my deepest thank you to everyone who's music or performances I have enjoyed.

DigEmotion

“See Through Colours” is a break-driven anthem about unity on the dance floor. Channeling the emotive side of electronic breaks, this track flows through vibrant textures, syncopated rhythms, and radiant melodic layers each beat a pulse of inclusion and freedom.

The fourth release in The Waveform Generation, this one’s for the dancers who believe music transcends boundaries.

See Through Colours

“Reel One” marks a turning point in The Waveform Generation, capturing the first moment analog tape meets modern rhythm. For the first time in the studio recorded directly to a Revox B77 reel-to-reel, this is house/techno with chrome on the faders and sunshine in its soul.

Driving, warm, and relentless, the track evokes the feeling of coasting down a California highway with the top down, the bass riding the breeze, and the dancefloor waiting just beyond the sunset.

Reel One

Composed and recorded on May 15th, 1999.  This was composed as a part of a two track demo.  The lush pads and creative use of backwards cymbals to crescendo the beat, accompanied by the straight ahead bass lines and four/four beat make this electronic piece the beauty that it is.

The name of this track is Achieve Satisfaction because it represents exactly that. It was this Sunday afternoon that I felt an achievement of satisfaction with the new studio and process involved in making this music. A four part chord was composed as the inspiration and start of this arrangement which was a new approach for me and I am very proud of the result, be sure there is more exploration like this to come!
