This is my latest old skool mix that i did at xmas 2006, it's a mixture between uplifting Bowlers style piano tracks and a few moodier tracks. My personal favourites on this cd are I Want Bass, Touch Me, What You Wanna Be, Body & Soul & Love Can Do. (Oh yeah not to mention the screamer piano stomper of Ride Like The Wind at the end.)

Live @ Maximes - Wigan [Old Skool Mix] DJ's Butty & Recca

Rob started getting passionate about house music from his early teens. He was initially tuning into Stu Allan's mix show at weekends where he would begin to educate his virgin ears with what i would describe as audible magic. Rob had a DJ's ethos from day one as he would live record the tunes he liked onto cassette whilst doing on the fly edits to remove the advert breaks.
 
As his knowledge and experience of music increased, he found himself becoming naturally inquisitive about the technical side of mixing and was fascinated at how an atmosphere can be manipulated, altered and changed just by spinning plastic and tweaking a few nobs and faders. This eventually lead him to getting a pair of Technics 1210's about 15 years ago and the rest is history.
 
In the beginning his main passion was for old skool and classic house from early 90's, however his musical taste has since matured to genres including progressive house, electro and breakbeat.
 
Plenty of DJ's and producers have been a huge influence on Rob and you will hear a lot of their material featured on his mixes. Rob would like to take this opportunity to drop a few names and pay his respects to the following:-
