This is a mix i did just before i went to Ibiza in 2006 where i got hammered and kept people awake for a few hours whilst doing naughty shit like throwing water bombs off the balcony at people then hiding. Anyway enough of that, it's full of typical classics with a few trademark rarities to make it a bit different from every other classics mix. I have a keen ear for the mixing as always.

first recorded mix in years off the cuff didnt know what i was going to play just went with the flow pulled out random tracks house from 91-94 few mistakes not perfect but 100% true vinyl no digital involved

Rob started getting passionate about house music from his early teens. He was initially tuning into Stu Allan's mix show at weekends where he would begin to educate his virgin ears with what i would describe as audible magic. Rob had a DJ's ethos from day one as he would live record the tunes he liked onto cassette whilst doing on the fly edits to remove the advert breaks.
 
As his knowledge and experience of music increased, he found himself becoming naturally inquisitive about the technical side of mixing and was fascinated at how an atmosphere can be manipulated, altered and changed just by spinning plastic and tweaking a few nobs and faders. This eventually lead him to getting a pair of Technics 1210's about 15 years ago and the rest is history.
 
In the beginning his main passion was for old skool and classic house from early 90's, however his musical taste has since matured to genres including progressive house, electro and breakbeat.
 
Plenty of DJ's and producers have been a huge influence on Rob and you will hear a lot of their material featured on his mixes. Rob would like to take this opportunity to drop a few names and pay his respects to the following:-
 
Sasha, John Digweed, Dave Seamen, Nick Warren, Steve Lawler, Hybrid, Trafik, U.N.K.L.E and especially Dj Faskil (Frisky Radio) who is absolutely brilliant and inspiring.
