Robo Cobo is a just your average white guy writing about average white guy “struggles”. With a bachelors degree from MSU, he works as a software-developer at a Fortune 500 company in the Detroit-Metro area by day and works on his passion-project, music, as he can by night.

His music isn’t confined to any sort of traditional genre category, but could probably be best described as electronic, vocal-centric organ bop, as almost every song contains organ and driving drums. Spending years crafting his signature sound, he created the organ-bop sound while writing the song “Nighttime”, which is the lead single from his upcoming album, slated to be released in late 2020.

Robo Cobo’s musical journey has spanned many years and many different musical experiences. Starting in 6th grade with guitar lessons, Robo would eventually play guitar in many battle of the bands, sing in many choirs, lead in his high-school’s musical productions, and even pursue a degree in music at a collegiate level for a period of time. Exposure to all these different musical settings has had a great impact on Robo Cobo’s music writing and performing, leading to a unique sound and style.
