“Greetings friends. Im very happy to recieve the amazing Robot Heart family’s choice to release my set from the burn last year. After a wild and wonderful week for dust & mud, This impromptu evening on the bus was stitched together quite suddenly by our dear Robots, who assembled all the loons left behind from the fleeing masses on Monday night. This may have been one of the best nights in terms of vibe i’ve felt on the playa in a long time. For the true warriors stayed for the next few days to extend our journey without a single complaint of rain or mud to be whispered at any point throughout the evening. To those who were in attendance… i salute you. To the responsible ones who were on the move… dont worry, we saved you your seats. To the global family who skipped this year with an unexpected smile… guess again 😉. And to my favorite wizards, witches, and warriors of the Robot Heart… you make the magic true and dependable year after year, rain or shine, virgins or veterans, hardships and happiness. I lovr you & I thank you. And for all you musical maniacs, i hope you enjoy this brief glimpse into the freedom in sound selection we were given on this fun and unexpected eve. Hope to see you in a few months for Burn 2024 🔥❤️🔥”

A short note from the artists: 
This idea of our back to back was years in the making, the playa provided in a fashion neither of us could have imagined: the most welcoming & solid camp with it’s own super club in its courtyard, an outstanding custom built german sound system and a dance floor full of beautiful humans thriving with an open heart and a thirst for fun, love and anything we threw their way. Thank you KISS and all those who joined for gifting us an unforgettable night, allowing us to experiment and feel free. To be continued…

¨A last set in a first time Burn, closing a full circle in the Mayan and Maxa link up, playing between a Sandstorm and the ashes of the Temple, where not only me, but many of us left tears, hugs and memories on its walls to be taken by the fire. 

Sharing this moment with @madmotormiquel, a musician and person that I am so lucky to call a friend, with whom I feel the trust to musically go anywhere, and some of our closest and dearest friends as a last dance was beyond special. 

Mayan family, thank you for your trust in us to guide a musical journey in this delicate and emotional moment, and for the best closure we could wish for.¨

Artist Info:
Madota is the musical lovechild of urban shepherds Behnam & Mehran. Iranian by birth, Canadian by upbringing, these two have come a long way from their own journeys before reuniting in Berlin.

What we know is that their deeply rooted love for electronic music led them to storm Vancouver's nightlife as DJs since 2011 which in turn prepared them to start their experimentation with making music that pulls influences from their hyphenated backgrounds. Their music captures their subtle lust for colorful and organic sounds coupled with their itch for darker forward-leaning grooves.

Their music has already taken them to perform numerous times in legendary gatherings such as Katerblau in Berlin, ZERO in NYC, Acidcase in Berlin and Woomoon in Ibiza. They continue to nurture their lovechild in Berlin with releases on labels such as Get Physical, Kindisch and Kiosk I.D.

Alfa Romero’s combination of hardware synthesizers and modular systems creates a powerful and organic sound which translates to a unique aural feeling.

The title track ‘1001 Nights’ is a prime example, an emotive melody suspended above a spacious techno framework. The formula heads further into a trippy, euphoric headspace (‘Learning To Fly’), offers serene moments of ambience and dreamy arpeggios (‘Moonlight Tide’’).

Life on the playa is always full of surprises.  We were programmed on Tuesday night but the bus had some technical issues and could not leave the camp.  We left a bit sad without playing on our favorite ship. 
But the robot heart team was kind enough to reprogram us on the Sunday morning .  
We were determined to make it a magical a sunrise. Enjoy this 3h set on the playa we will never forget. 
We will miss everyone deeply this year but we will all come back to the magic land and embrace every second with all of you.
