Aside from being a fantastic DJ with many years of experience, in 2011 he started his own podcast series called "Invite's Choice" – and since then he hasn't looked back. With over 250 episodes to date, it has become one of the most famous and leading purveyors of weekly techno out there. Recently, Tim also released his debut EP "Active Trigger" on Knotweed (Philippe Petit's label based out of France), which received massive, heart-felt support. This current year 2015 is also looking very promising for him : he is launching his own imprint, Invite's Choice Records with a debut EP by himself, Tim van Paradijs (A.K.A. The last mix of 2017 and the first mix of 2018 was this 4.5 hr DJ set I played at Galeria PATIO, a speakeasy in Oaxaca for New Years Eve. Upon our arrival to soundcheck from Mexico City to Oaxaca at 8pm on New Years Eve 2017, we were greeted by a small girl whose dad worked at the venue and was helping the staff put together the last touches in the space. She was a beautiful positive omen, as she showed me the way to the DJ booth and upon my first mix, standing next to me uttered the words of excitement “dale, dale!” (do it, do it!). 

I knew it was going to be a night to remember, so I decided to field-record a poet by the Santo Domingo plaza who became my opening intro, setting the mood of the evening, and as the night progressed, “dale, dale” became the mantra that matched the amazing energy of the crowd! 

Enjoy this 4.5 hr-musical journey I shared with a full house at Galeria PATIO, in Oaxaca on the first dawn of 2018!

@lola-villa-musica is a producer and DJ from Colombia. Her travels have brought her closer to her roots, taking her audiences on a sonic exploration of the American and African continent through a digital lens. 

In terms of sound, Lola talks about Magic Realism––a mixture of cosmic elements, traditional sounds and raw textures. When playing, Lola invokes fire, wind, water and earth, the smells of the Amazon rainforest mixed with thick, nasty and,utterly sexy 80s-inspired bass lines and synths. 
By adding live and acoustic elements to her performances, she sets the tone for engaging and uplifting sets. 
She’s a vivid advocate for an inclusive industry and a safe dance floor, putting together workshops for aspiring female and non-binary DJs and musical meet-ups in cities such as: Tunis, Lagos, Amsterdam, and Washington D.C. 
Her philosophy: dance music needs disruption, it needs poetry, it needs more people who cannot afford it. Dance needs more people of color, it needs more riot girls, and kranky queers. 
Lola is currently based in Washington D.C.
