When we got the call from the Robot Heart team asking if we were going to attend the Free Burn, and would we be able to DJ their 1st sunrise since 2019, we knew something special was about to take place.  

Both of us had performed solo sets on the bus many times in the past, but this was to be our 1st time playing as a duo. This special sunrise set is a dedication to the life of Robot Heart founder, Geo. 

We did our best to capture his inspiration, celebrate his contribution, and shine a light on his legacy.

We had several discussions back and forth with RH members that knew Geo well, and with that knowledge, we prepared special songs and spoken word moments to honor his memory.

Apart from that we did not plan out any of the set, and allowed the moment and energy to guide our selections and musical choices. 

We’d like to thank the entire RH Family for their trust and support over the years. And we’d especially like to thank all the true Burners who were in attendance, for adhering so well to Larry’s 10 principles, respecting the Playa, and reminding us all why we make this trek out to the barren, yet magical landscape, every year. Together we danced to celebrate life, and in particular, to celebrate the life of Geo, as he watched from above.  

We hope this recording brings a smile to the faces of all the lovely Burners who were in attendance, and also to all those Burners, including Geo (who were there in spirit) dancing in the dust, with sunshine and freedom, radiating all around us.

Sabo & Goldcap - Robot Heart - Free Burn 2021

A fantastic start to 2023. Dreamscape / Crania chapeau! Location, production, and all the fun anomalies made this night memorable and the recording fire. Taking over from DJ Harvey made me kick off the set light and tropical before I found a clear direction on where to take things. Shout out to @dramian for closing it so tastefully, and much love to everyone for the overwhelming feedback this weekend.

Grateful I get to play these beautiful pieces. Many unreleased, so high fives to all the studio nerds out there i admire.

“On sacred Colombian territory we entered a challenging and rewarding adventure that will help us deconstruct limiting beliefs to access and ignite our authentic self.” (Re-treated)

It was night time and the full-ish moon was smiling down as the river flowed and all the creatures made their distinct sounds. A fire warmed our bodies as music feed our souls. 

Inspired by the human experience that unfolded in a beautiful container surrounded by Mother Nature. This set was a celebration of the journey’s ending … or was it the just beginning ;) I was in a complete flow state, I knew two tracks I wanted to start with and two towards the end. Tunes were pulled from many different pockets of my collection.

On the property was an amazing labyrinth. Our journey and realizations through it weaved their way into this set. I later googled life and labyrinth and found this:  

“Our life path can be viewed as a labyrinth guiding us to deeper meaning and fulfillment. Walking a labyrinth takes us through numerous twists and turns that symbolize the ebb and flow of life. Like the design of a labyrinth, what looks like an end point in life can also be a beginning point.” (link below)

I’m now obsessed with labyrinths!!! Thus the title of this release.

It was a true honor to open the Playalchemist's intricately crafted pyramid on its debut at Burning Man. 
This incredible structure held space for an improvised spontaneous musical journey which became a unique sacred moment between the three of us, and every single participant in the extremely high energy crowd.

On a beautiful Thursday afternoon on the playa , Sanctuary , Happy Campers and Gardens of Babylon created “ We are not Robots “ a circus of extraordinary humanoids under the magical dome of 1001 nights camp over on the back streets of 4:45 and J .
This Was truly a bonding labor of Love , we had a beautiful silken dome and the floors were cushioned by playground rubber matts which made everyone take off their shoes so they can jump and dance freely in front of the 50 .000 Watt Turbo Sound System calibrated by our legendary sound engineer .
That being said :
We have decided to release one of the most hauntingly beautiful sets that captured everyones soul at the event .Our 2 favorite Aliens  BRITTA / UNDERS were supposed to play 2 hours , we absolutely had to ask them to prolong the journey for a full 4 hour set which can be described as a "Dustyfairytale"  .They seamlessly poured eclectic sounds and vibrations that made us dancing fools think it was part of a Techno sound bath experiment ,They surpassed our wildest imagination and the crowd has never been so mesmerised by their energy and frequencies ever since.  After hearing the feedback of this magical set , it was our duty to release this as soon as the dust settled. 
We HOPE You enjoy this set as much as we all did . 
From the bottom of our GIANT Hearts , we thank everyone who was able to experience this magical day with us at Burning Man 2018.

There are only a handful of places on the planet where electronic music is treated like art.  The bus is one of them, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share music on it.   The tracks in this set are my own original compositions or edits. I consider this to be an album release.   The music is, for the most part, tuned to 432hz in Just Intonation. This tuning follows the harmonic series, and is in harmony with the mathematics of nature.   I hope you feel it with as much love as I put in. Finally, I want to thank the Robot Heart team for working on the system through the night to get the bus out that morning. Your effort meant a great deal to me.
