Ever the shape -shifters and genre-benders, on their newest EP 'Lullaby' San-Francisco dance darlings PillowTalk move away from their innovative brand of housified soul and look toward the misty terrain of lush, 80s-inspired synth-pop. Turn down the collars on your Izods, switch on your Walkman, and drift into that delicious space between...between waking and sleeping, love and loss, making out and making up.

A swirl of Rhodes, tape delay, and pedals, 'Lullaby' is more a dreamscape than a track. Inspired by work from acclaimed illustrator David Polonsky, 'Lullaby' is a sonic map of that perpetual dusk in which the tender of heart dwell. Cascading handclaps, delicate bubbles and squeaks, and a characteristically spare kick are cut through by a punchy live bassline that exudes more humanity than a million synthesizers could ever imagine. For a sense of the mood just imagine sweet caresses through a fog that barely obscures your lover's face, or an old teen romance on faded VHS. When vocalist Sammy D, sounding more pensive and breathless than ever before, obliquely asks an unnamed someone, 'you're not a weapon, are you' one wonders if he's not thinking about PillowTalk's own ability to destroy our own expectations about what dance music is supposed to be.

For all the sullen moodiness of 'Lullaby,' the EPs B-side, 'We All Have Rhythm,' brings a return of the sassy, white-boy R&B swagger we've come to know and love from the boys. No more feeling sorry for ourselves, we're all invited to sing along over a slice of uplifting electronic psych-funk that is sure to wake up any slumbering afterparty.

"My favorite set that we played this year at Burning Man was at Robot Heart. It was probably the only set that I really prepared for with Walshy Fire.

I'll be honest I was a lil nervous because I really wanted to make it run with energy for the full two hours and our typical audience isn't that used to a classic dub and reggae set. Myself and the whole RH crew wanted to create something really special for a sunset party and keep it true to the theme but to still feel like a Robot Heart set. The Robot Heart crew had told me that they wanted and entire set that sounded like "Major Lazer - Get Free" and I had to think hard about it. To keep the vibe going for two hours and for that record to be the climax was a challenge but I realized if you stick to your guns for the whole party and steer the audience in a direction and keep them with you, then anything is possible.  I hope you love it.. It's perfect for a party on a Sunday afternoon and represents a different side of Major Lazer"

After so many years I finally got my feet on the cold sand of playa and ran to this bus I’ve been hearing about for so long. My first night and my first show. Never to be forgotten. My expectations ended up being meaningless because I was living the unimaginable. This special moment deserved my very best, so a set full of my own unreleased originals is what I played! and off to what will always be remembered as one of the most incredible experiences of my life: My first burn! A crystal like cluster of Lighthouses ranging from 6 to 60 foot tall and some leaning as much as 20 degrees. Inspired by the juxtaposition of creating a destination of fun and shelter by something that is meant to warn you of danger. This adult jungle gym aims to become a destination where participants come to seek shelter, play, meetup with friends and navigate the inland sea that is the Playa. At night the Lighthouses will truly come alive with fire, light, and a few other surprises.

Decided to pack it in Friday Dec.15th/2017 for retirement and the wierd part was when I got home there was a present on my porch all wrapped for Christmas and in a plastic bag to keep the snow off it!! Read the card first and it say's quote~Happy Retirement I want you to be Happy,Maybe this will be a start...Love You~ No signature/name even on the box from were it was sent from!! All torn off!!! I would really like to thank the person for this but no clue who it might be....This is what was in the parcel so had a jam with it and just love it!! First take but have time to get better :D

Each and every time I’ve played music at Burning man I felt privileged to do so. Its a truly special place full of truly special people.Sunrise. Sunset. Smiles. Tears of pure joy. 

There, i’m never one. I’m many. Connected. Connected to everything and everyone. One of the threads connecting me is music. Over the years the music has become a time machine that’s marked magical moments on my journey.  To hear it again allows me to travel back in time to those moments.

Pastis is almost like a religion in Provence and especially Marseille, where its origins are, and the best Pastis is found. At apéro-time people across France drink this star anise-based liquor mixed with water, which changes the liquor’s appearance from transparent to milky. 

Today we proudly announce a new sort of Pastis: it’s made in the Flemish jungle, a.k.a. Mike Tohr’s Studio in Herentals, Belgium. For those of you that participated in last week’s live session, you already enjoyed a sneak peak of this smooth and dreamy jewel.  

His studio has the look of a jungle or a greenhouse, and it reflects where Mike gets inspired – out in the green. Therefore, he transformed his studio into a creative jungle by adding lots of plants to cover the usual white wall atmosphere. 

Mike appeared on our radars some time back, thanks to a remix by Gab Rhome of his awesome release on Armada Subjekt called “No More Butterflies”. Since then a lot happened: Mike played some of the best venues, even the Diynamic stage at Tomorrowland! And, lots of wonderful productions followed: most recently on Tale & Tone, Einmusika and Atmosphere. We are excited to see what’s coming next! 

We asked him what he loves about Pastis: “When I was young almost everybody was smoking at school, but I preferred to eat a licorice root instead. Today Pastis is one of my favorite drinks because I really love the taste of the fresh star anise in combination with a licorice root. Especially on a hot summer day it gives you a fresh taste ...” 

It couldn’t be better conditions for a Pastis than today! And, for those of you trying to quit smoking, get some licorice roots! We’ll try it for sure …

We got to play as the bus drove out from base camp into Deep Playa and seeing all those people riding alongside on their bikes while we played was truly unique and memorable. Round two...

My second year at Burning Man. This time, I was a bit more relaxed 
because I knew what I was getting myself into - well at least that's 
what I thought. I quickly realized that this year seemed somehow similar 
but also very different to my experience from last year - very hard to 
explain why, so I won't even start trying. I guess this is one of the 
reasons, why people keep coming back - you simply can't explain, and you 
don't have to. Everything is so overly fascinating here. This time I 
played the bus during the day, which was perfect because those daytime 
sets are my favourite. After a long rest and a healthy breakfast... just 
kidding, it was a cereal bar and a vodka orange, I left my camp to find 
the bus - I didn't right away actually, which made me a bit nervous - 
fortunately tho, I had the honour to play after Lee Burridge, which 
usually means that there are lots of people. So I just had to figure out 
where the crowd was headed and follow them, the perfect plan. It was 
boiling hot, and I got my first sunburn at burning man – oh right, plus 
I did play some music as well :). What can i say, it was simply 
fantastic - the vibe, the people. I'm really thankful for the opportunity.
